Censorship and Social Media

It's a pity all the politicians of this country didn't think about keeping the kids safe from those grooming gangs. Wasn't it Starmer? Or was it just a bit too much for their pea-sized brains to fathom? And I wonder what the Muppet Starmer will do about Bluesky.

As I told you all and have said for several years now, as society starts to break down due to immigration, the government will employ more and more Draconian measures. The latest is false claim that they are introducing a ban on the internet for under 16s to protect children. However, this is about control of information. This is about stopping the next generations of voters from seeing the truth about decades of destructive government policy and the clampdown on freedoms. Laughably, as soon as they turn 16 they are apparently worldly wise enough to vote. Of course Starmer and his Big Brother crew want to fill their heads with propaganda through traditional means before they do. This will even affect the next election.

In every other area, smoking, drugs, drinking, food etc, we see governments using education to encourage sensible behaviour and leave responsibility in the hands of parents where appropriate. Suddenly, this is different.

Starmer will be gone very soon, but we must as a nation banish his party to the history books at the next election.

The usual useful idiots will respond in the usual useful idiot way...

And then they'll trawl for posts of yesteryear
Yep. It's a precursor to Big Brother.

Already you have the BBC claiming they are 'the truth' and Left wing MPs calling any opposition, 'fake news'.

Scary times. We have to vote these motherfuckers out and for good.

Is a covidiot someone who had the jab or who thinks the jab was the right thing.
Out of interest?

It's the sort of person who has zero reaction to the revelation that one of the largest social media moguls in the world lied and deceived his audience.
It's the sort of person who would probably rather attack the messenger/whistleblower instead.

Anyone you know then ? Just asking as you have used it quite a lot.

Should be interesting what the government have requested to be censored.
Hopefully anything that is known to be misinformation, or information deliberately taken out of context in order to pursue an agenda. Like this, for example:-

The level of stupidity hiding behind naivety here is a wonder to see sometime#!

This platform you used are just the opinions of journalists funded by cut outs for the system.

It's far to say that particular clip is taken out of context because it suggests that he was fully against the use of the development of vaccines.

However, it's also misinformation if the suggestion was that he didn't have concerns as he voiced them privately. Something not exclusive to himself.

Later however, he did later, officially at least, take two doses of vaccines.

The strongest issue that Zuckerberg complained about was government pressure regarding content moderation of vaccine-related posts on his platform. That's something he's publicly complained about and something he regrets and later pushed back on.

Ah! The old, if your opinion is different to mine, you are stupid argument! From the poster who argued vehemently that Covid did not start in Wuhan, presumably taking WHO initial statements ( which they admitted were premature) as gospel

Not in any way.

Opinions aren’t involved. It’s the misreporting of what was said. Deliberately taking words out of their context. That’s not reporting the opinion of the subject. It’s using them to promote another opinion.

By the way I never argued vehemently, or at all, that Covid didn’t start in the Wuhan lab. I argued what is as true today as it was then. We don’t know. We may never know. Unless until the Chinese allow full access to independent experts we cannot know. All we have are plausible theories. Two of them.

So you accept it was misinformation. That’s a start.

Of course Zuckerberg complains. He is running a business. Not a country.

Every country must have the right to regulate what happens within its borders and every business which wants to trade within them must comply with those regulations, or stop the trade.

The idea that just because a business happens to be based in the USA doesn’t change that a jot. It just makes it more complicated to apply, but apply it must.

The biggest arseh*le who needs taking down several pegs is Musk. He needs to be taught a lesson and systems built so his ability to blackmail us into submission is removed.

Musk isn’t blackmailing anyone. He is refusing to let governments dictate what people can say online. Calling free speech "blackmail" just shows you’d rather control the conversation than win it.
