The fact Ozoh has been kept around ties in with rumours that Sage has been impressed with him. If we don't sign another midfielder, then he may get a chance this season. Looking forward to seeing how the new boys get on. COYP

He'll go on loan, maybe with an option to buy. We'd sell him if we got a decent offer. He's not showing the required attitude to develop.

I read that his proposed move to Club Brugge was on hold as they determine their priorities.
There is supposed to be some interest in Esse as a loan from some Championship clubs but Palace are thought to prefer an outright sale.
I also read he’s training with the youngsters while this is being resolved.

Freiburg a decent outfit. We won 3 corners in quick succession after Freiburg had the better of the start.

Are pressing occasionally but not with enough frequency or intensity to yield a result. Some good passing at the back from Palace to play around the Freiburg press.

Canvot attempted an ambitious pass that led to a quick break and the risky Riad challenge with could have been a penalty on another day

Gained a bit more possession but not a lot of movement ahead. Wharton sharpening up. Looking classy. A lot of the others looking dozy

We looked quite disciplined out of possession but in possession, we are giving the ball away too easily. JSL just can’t seem to hold the ball and lay off. We don’t look like scoring as yet. Things to work on but a goal in our favour could change things.
