I know a vape shop and have never seen anyone enter to buy anything.

The Turkish barbers in my town have punters queuing out the door at 8.30 in the morning when I drop the wife at work……..I’m assuming it’s not a hair cut they’re queuing for thoughImagine a tiny village with 7 or 10 barber shops. Always no customers. Yet the bunch of lads running the barbers all drive new Ferrari's.
Yup.

Seconded. I have a big old beard and the turkish barber (I think he's actually Lebanese) does a great job. He calls me "my friend" the whole time as well which makes me feel like maybe I don't look like a paedo after all. They do give a good beard trim in fairness the Turkish barbers. But agree there seem to be a lot of them. Also vape shops are completely empty.

Sounds like the sort who'd be able to provide you with 'something for the weekend sir'.Seconded. I have a big old beard and the turkish barber (I think he's actually Lebanese) does a great job. Trouble with that offer was that I never had anything to use it for.Sounds like the sort who'd be able to provide you with 'something for the weekend sir'.

Yeah my wife is always home at the weekend too.Trouble with that offer was that I never had anything to use it for.
When it would have been useful the barbers were closed.
Sounds like you are dropping the wife off at the Turkish barber's with a queue of men outside. You should suggest a career changeThe Turkish barbers in my town have punters queuing out the door at 8.30 in the morning when I drop the wife at work……..I’m assuming it’s not a hair cut they’re queuing for though

Exactly.Forget the conspiracy theories the answer is simple they are just the new way to sell dodgy fags and counterfeit goods.
Also black market imported drugs where you don't need a prescription.
Oh and the perfect way to get cash to/from the family
It's virtually impossible to shut these places down as they are rented through a web of Ltd Co's which simply run for a few months then vanish. The landlords don't care as they are probably the only folks who actually get paid......

I've always thought the same. I see a real business opportunity here though *cough* for for some of our home grown criminals. It really wouldn't take a lot to carefully scope out some of these places & simply go in there a minute or two before they close & simply rob the place, these joints must be stacked with cash, drugs & firearms everything you need to start your own little War & the upside? they are hardly going to run to the Old Bill.I have a theory. No actual evidence to back it up but it is the only thing that makes any sense to me.
This explosion of Barbers/Vape shops clearly makes zero commercial sense. To just cover the rent and rates alone makes it impossible to cover costs given the lack of footfall.
So I believe an understanding has been reached. Drug cash is clearly being laundered through these shops. And rents get paid. Rates get paid. Keeping commerical landlords, who disproportionately fund political parties, happy. And tax gets paid. Everybody is happy. Hence a blind eye being turned to it all with perhaps the Goverment reaching out to the major players and effectively giving them the all clear. Warned about keeping the violence down and given they are that desperate for income, are willing to effectively legalise this form of laundering. Throw in a few high profile raids on occassion just for public consumption but otherwise, effectively allowing crime to pay.
Because otherwise what actual upside for the UK is there? I believe the same thing also potentially applies to a lot of fast-food outlets as well, especially those that operate out of 'blind' Kitchens.
