I'm in my 50s and on the end of a long IT career. I think my lot invented memes, emojis and all the tech s*** he is fond of (except AI apparently). The left don't respect wisdom and knowledge though because that's what old people have

Yep, we have all said that to him....he must have heard, 'if the left didn't have double standards they wouldn't have any standards at all' about a million times by now.

But my beefs are mostly over with Dan, I still argue with him but there's no heat there like there is amongst you two. Maybe in time that will settle.

There's only ever been one lefty poster who annoyed the feck out of me and thankfully I can now choose what I see from him.

One more thing about AI though.

It's also fecking scary.....One fruitcake programs an AI to kill us all and.....Well I don't want to think about it.

Especially if that fruitcake is coding an AI which is meant to be defending military systems.

It's the obvious but scary stuff that the mainstream media only touch with kid gloves that concerns me.

It's so beyond important to get it right, when you consider that AIs will and have spread much quicker than nukes.

You'd want systems that could nuke us so completely off line that you couldn't even hook them up if you wanted to.....and requiring multiple operators and levels......and your enemies to have the same attitude.

You have the wrong end of the stick. My point is you are complaining about there being no mods when there are. The board is monitored so there is no need to report anything.

I wouldn't have used that language but that's an individual choice.

I have no particular desire to see you kicked off the board.
