Team vs Fulham

Watching the highlights we appear fortunate.
They should have scored a second whilst they were on top in the first 25 minutes or so but after we equalized we were the better team for much of the rest of the game.

Having said that, it was still only a pre-season friendly and the pluses for us were having more of our likely starting XI on the pitch getting minutes and seeing the Sage system beginning to take shape. We're still missing Henderson, Munoz, Pino and Mateta plus the useful bench option Lerma. Furthermore, Wharton and Strand Larsen were getting their first minutes of pre-season.

I completely forgot those were whartons 1st minutes this summer,

Henderson
Munoz
Canvot
Richards
Riad/Tomiyasu
Mitchelĺ
Wharton
Kamada
Sarr
Mateta
????(depends if Pino fit)
Didn't Brighty say in commentary yesterday that Danny (presumably Munoz) has a broken nose. In any event, with neither him nor Mateta yet with any minutes under their belt I'd be surprised if they both start against Everton - likewise Pino. Henderson shouldn't be a problem, so the starting XI might look something like this:

Henderson

Canvot Richards Riad

Mingueza Wharton Kamada Mitchell

Sarr Strand Larsen França/Nketiah
I think they'll manage Tomiyasu's minutes carefully to give him time to adjust.

Nketiah Sarr Franca front 3, just a thought, only going by what Sage has been doing in pre-season.

Certainly think Nketiah will start the season. You'd assume that JSL has enough time now to get up to speed.

Suspect Esse and JRS will be binned, but wonder what the thoughts on Franca are. Not setting the world alight but has shown he can finish.

I don't think Nketiah alongside JSL and Sarr worked on Friday, so I wouldn't be surprised if our Brazilian lad starts alongside JSL and Sarr. Nketiah is yet to show he can play as a 10 and Sage's system. like that of Glasner needs a big target man as the central striker.

He's only been back a week and had 45 mins of football
