I feel alot of criticism by people , I feel there's a underlying issue in the bed department by these , and the partner is looking for a better performance , and saying how good the best friend is , I maybe wrong🫣🫣😇
 
There's no excuse for him this season - if he's in Sage's starting line up he'll have to listen to the manager's instructions and execute them as competently as possible. Moves shouldn't break down when the ball comes to him; Pino was also an offender last season. Still, a clean slate and a fresh start, it's up to him to perform.

Moves were breaking down when Pino was in possession because he was actually trying to dribble at defenders and play the ball forwards rather than the easy sideways ball. Totally different to Johnson.

Agreed. Pino would often f*** up an attack (usually gifting the opposition a decent chance at a counter attack), jump up, run all the way back so fast his little legs were a blur, get nowhere near winning the ball back, but try. Then ten minutes later he'd do it all again. Then again.

Johnson, in contrast, just wasn't involved in the slightest.

I don't know which I prefer.

Johnson was often our worst player, but Pino was sometimes one of the opponents better players.
 
Now rumours of a swap deal for Dwight McNeil, a player valued at c£20m.

not sure which bit upsets me most, losing £15m in terms of value differential, or over paying for another poor player.

For a so called shrewd club tight with money, we've spectacularly fecked up and could potentially make it even worse.
 
I could see a benefit to both clubs in the move but would expect a cash adjustment from Everton.
Johnson would probably suit Moyes defensive style of play wirh an emphasis on counter attack and hitting teams on the break.
We lack an attacking left footed threat with good delivery in open play and on set pieces and McNeil offers these.
 
Not in the squad last night at Fulham, so it may be under consideration. I'd do it if Mrs M has calmed down. I think this kind of deal is now difficult with agent fees etc but can't it be presented in a way that helps PSR in the short term, but maybe I've got that wrong.

Although Pino has the positive mindset to try the things you suggest, in the end he ended up losing the ball a bit too much, so it becomes frustrating when a move breaks down and it is often due to poor decision making - in the end the result is the same: a good opportunity is wasted. We saw a lot of this last season and it's an area which Sage can hopefully improve.
