Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

With the right signings we have a chance to win it....and then onto the holy grail, but it seems were not that fussed! Champions league anthem at Selhurst...imagine!
Where do you get that?

To qualify direct from this league and sustain a run on the ECL requires far more than we could ever afford.

We are moving that way but slowly and within our budget.

Henderson

Richards - Canvot - Mingueza

Munoz - Doucoure - Wharton - Mitchell

Sarr - Mateta - Pino.

With Riad, Lerma, Hughesy, Larsen, Franca, Kamada etc all coming in to help too.
It's not bad, is it. But what this does show is a dearth of leadership amongst the group. Hughes and Hendo aside, there's no natural leaders, so that's what I'd be looking at bringing in now.
All right footers, Mingueza - Richards - Canvot, if we are going to play with 3 at the back as is seems likely, imo.

i'd be worried by that CB threesome and there is no way Doucoure is 1st team ready. The rest of the team almost picks itself.

It's been stated by Sage himself that Mingueza is first and foremost cover for the Right & Left wingback slots. He can also cover CB.

If signed it would be more likely we'd see Tomiyasu or one of Riad or the CBs we're after in the back three.

I hope Hobbs hasn’t booked his summer holidays over the next few weeks.

To do - resolve the futures of;

Ozoh linked with Derby amongst others
Devenny linked with Middlesbrough amongst others
Esse linked with Bruges
JRS linked with Preston amongst others
Cardines linked with Bristol City(loan)
Then there’s Mateta, who if he won’t sign a contract, Parish is likely to want a return on and Nketiah who we tried to move on in the last window

And this is just the outgoings and avoiding the wilder speculation on Sarr, Wharton and Munoz!

Of course he won't have - more than his job's worth. He'll have gone away in early June - if at all.

As for the players you mention:
I hope:
  • Ozoh and Devenny stay - we'd only have to pay silly money to replace them and even then the replacements might be no better.
  • Esse gets sold to Bruges with a sell-on clause
  • JRS is sold
  • Cardines gets his loan
As for the others
  • I'm not hearing too much noise about clubs chasing Mateta or Nketiah. They may well both end up staying unless someone tries to lowball Parish with an eleventh hour bid for Mateta.
  • I expect Sarr to stay and also Wharton
  • If Munoz were to go, Cardines may not get his loan but be retained as back-up for Mingueza.
As for incomings, as I've said elsewhere, I'm not expecting anything beyond an experienced CB and possibly another young one. I really don't see anything happening on the midfield and attacking front. We'll work with what we've got.

Another day of the window goes by - and still nothing. We have spent £0 - just bought in one free transfer.

Yet lost the mainstay of our central defence after losing Guehi - in the winter window. We are in Europa as well as the Prem and have a squad nowhere near good enough to compete in either..!!

This level of inertia is on a different level even by Parish standards in windows..!!

What the hell is going on Steve.

😡

If those incomings are right we’re in serious trouble..!!

Those disgraceful owners of other clubs are unwilling to bow down to our obvious superiority and accept our first offers, and the ungrateful players are wanting to be paid more than we can afford. How very dare they.

Yet we find the money to spend c.£80M on the dross that is Larsen and Johnson..!!

Really struggling to understand your point - unless of course you had any point at all.

Says who? He's had the whole of last season to recover, plus will have a full pre-season under his belt. And that back three is simply replacing Lacroix with a tried and tested player in Mingueza...it's not all that different really. This is Canvot's season to really step up. We could have another $52M player by this time next year.

Assuming that Sage has now had a chance to get a feel for the peripheral players and has made up his mind who he thinks have the ability to step up a level , but also listen and act on his game plan .

Might be an “ interesting time “ as some of those players that us fans have invested our hopes into move on , to give us space and money to bring in new players , who hopefully can take the next step up , but also to give those players to take their career to the level they want to get to .

jRS , Devenney , Ozoh etc

We paid 14 mill for Esse , but after one game it was pretty clear that OG didn’t trust him and wasn’t going to give another real chance . For someone his age , I thought OG was pretty ruthless , especially given the chances that he gave to other players .

The reports say he wants to leave and who can blame him given the lack of support and opportunities the club ( OG ) gave him .

It’s a ruthless business .

The remaining question will be do we get the max upfront fee for him , or are we have to drop a bit to get a % sell on fee .

If we sell 3-4 and that enables us to pick up 1-3 who we think mogjt have a quicker or higher potential , but it also “ clears the decks “ so the next group of 18-20 years olds coming up through the ranks have their opportunity to step up .

Lots of people complain about the lack of chances given to the youngsters , so maybe Sage has seen enough in that group to think that he can integrate them into the match squad .

JDT , Tayo etc

He does come with a reputation of developing youth .

Sell 3-4 squad player , bring in a couple of upgrades who actually pressure the starting 11 for their places by performances rather that who can fill that spot and more ops for the next Gen .

Larsen showed some pretty classy touches in the games he played .

OG obviously had more faith in Mateta .

After the winter transfer window closed , our multiple goal scorers were

Sarr 12
Mateta 6
Strand Larsen 4
Guessand and Lecroix 2

Lots of fans seemed disappointed when we didn’t take up the option to buy Guessand

My sister , a spurs supporter was NOT broken hearted at what we paid for him .

Fingers crossed he clicks , but don’t think he’s converted anyone to his cause so far. Still early days , but exy mistake if he doesn’t pan out .

Lacroix to be replaced by a predominantly RWB free transfer in Mingueza?
Wow.!
Doucoure had a 'whole season to recover' last season when he tore his meniscus and barely was barely fit enough to feature at any level?
Words fail me.
