Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

We have got more players now with Premiership experience than ever before and looking at what’s come up we will be fine. Not only that I expect Fulham and Newcastle to be rooted in that bottom 6. If we can get a couple of players in I expect us to be top half! COYP 🦅

I'd like to share your optimism re a top half finish. I expect we'll finish in our more traditional place between 11th and 15th (probably nearer 15th). Fortunately for us Bournemouth and Sunderland will be tasting the rigours of Europe for the first time and hopefully will finish below us as will at least two of the promoted teams and possibly Newcastle given their exodus of players this window.

Thought about it, sure it would be the most heartbreaking but i don't want them thinking they're good enough to reach a final, but stay in there long enough for fixture congestion to derail their league form haha.

Yeah but they may get lucky but there is 2 qualifiers at the beginning and finish outside top 8

Let them get their hopes up and then have them dashed. Nothing more hilarious than runners up in that cup. Conference League finalists would be the most meaningless accolade ever. And their club would use it on their shirts the season afterwards.

Sweetest would be they get all the way to the final and lose.

I can see one of the English teams winning it again if they take it serious.

I just don’t want the chance of them winning it, sadly I think they will, we made hard work of it against some of the shite we had to play with a thread bare squad with 17 extra games and we still won it

yup. Only slightly more embarrassing than Conference League Winners. Its not really prestigious, is it ? We beat a bunch of pub teams and it all culminated against Vallecano....they dont even have electricity at their stadium.

The Europa League will be almost as difficult as the Prem to win. Or the FA Cup. Of course we did get silverware, so hopefully we will again. But look at the dire Prem performance of many teams who are also playing in Europe.

Winning it is ok. It's kind of the minimum expectation of a Premier League side. But losing in the final would not have been nice.
