I'm beginning to get worried by how often, and it seems easily, Wharton is getting injured. I'm inclined to say yes to £100m whilst the player is deemed a star.
Nobody is going to buy Wharton for £100m, he has a poor injury record, didn't get selected for the World Cup. He is a fantastic player for Palace, but not worth £100 or anywhere near.

I thought that about Olise, he’d had a couple of injuries with us, and it was my one consolation when we sold him that if he’s going to be injury prone cash in while we can, erm yeah, I read that situation well 🤣

That's the value until somebody decides to pay more, as is always the case with Transfermarkt, who tend to be conservative with their valuations even then. They updated their valuation of Anderson 10 days ago at 110m euros so less than £100m and thus nearly £20m less than Citeh are paying for him.

The rumours re Chelsea suggest they're offering 100m euros so £90m for Wharton, but given our 'relationship' with Chelsea, who knows.. If true, take it and move on. With the two window ban for registering players, Chelsea need to do their business in this one. However, I have my doubts that they really do want Wharton.

PS. Yes, this latest set of posts really ought to moved to the Wharton thread.

Where’s Dan ashworth? Was great everywhere , except Utd (who’s succeeded there since fergie?)
He was my old PE teacher in Orpington, so must be local.

I think most people were satisfied
with Dougie's record.

There is a reason why Man Utd, Newcastle, and others were sniffing around for him, and in the end he was poached by the Saudis.

I can't say I've heard of anyone who's praised Hobbes' work since he's been in South London. I would certainly have some questions for them if they did.

Transfer ban is suspended so they won’t actually be unable to sign players
