a. Enter into a long-winded frustrating debate with Christianophobes/AntiSemites/Homophobes/AntiSecularism types who will scoff at my Four thousand year old Druid beliefs as being little more than hocus-pocus makey-uppey superstitious nonsense - including any Druid stone/rock that i revere as sacred - to be scorned, joked and laughed at. And also to scoff at my belief that the Valkyries fly through the air on a magic horse.
When i then reluctantly agree with their observations about the absurdity of big Celtic stones/rocks and Valkyries flying through the air on horse....there is a sudden silence.

Indeed. It did though take quite a long time for the light of scientific discovery to pierce the darkness of traditional beliefs in our country. There are still many corners where it has yet to shine and, at its best, can still offer moral wisdom and comfort.

It’s not surprising then that is taking longer to penetrate a religion centred in largely undeveloped countries. Given time, and exposure, to developed societies like our own that change will happen. Not in my lifetime for sure but eventually. We need patience, tenacity and an unshakeable determination to see it happen, and it will.
 
You're incredibly arrogant to think that somehow we in the west have broken the mold on "civilisation". This will collapse and in 5000 years some more human tribes will be behaving as we did 8000 years ago, and as we feel we want to behave here now too, because that's evolution. Ironically when you say "science" that includes evolution, and you seem to think we're beyond what I just said.

Therefore we can easily become undeveloped, like Islam has retarded many other nations that it consumes.

There are a number of videos showing then and now for Iran, Afghanistan, Lebanon and other muslim countries in the 60's and now. Same thing in northern towns, Tower Hamlets etc. You can't ignore your eyes.

I watched a PBS documentary about Afghanistan from the sixties to the eighties.

For a "very" brief period on the sixties "some" women in Kabul copied their western sisters. However it was short lived as the vast majority of the country especially outside of Kabul were anti west. It led to the rise of the Mujahedeen and all the other fundamentalists.

It's a bit like in 50 years time someone reviewing social media and saying everyone in the UK was Trans because they could see social media pics.

I think the same applied to the other countries you mentioned. it was an understandable desire by young educated middle class women for freedom but it was not widespread amongst the populace.

Afghanistan was on the hippy trail (mainly for drugs) but again the locals were furious about these decadent westerners.

There really was no "Enlightenment" except amongst a small wealthy elite just like Iran under the Shah.

I believe another important strand is 'people who started out as Christian/Atheist/other......and then they converted to Islam. Mostly in The West. The biggest demographic for this is....young women. And very few converts travelling in the opposite direction. We all know why that is.

I have already mentioned Sinead O'Connor. Then you have US singer Cat Stephens. Mike Tyson. And very many kids from Croydon.

My guess for Croydon yoof would be joining a bigger gang and being able to scream anti muslim sentiment when arrested, just a guess though

They get promised a lot and then find they have no bank account, no phone, no friends, certainly no social life. The Islamic treatment of women can only really be described as coercive control. I will say a friend of ours went to the Imam and the husband got told off but it didn't change anything.
The guy in this case didn't like something or other. Maybe the woman wanted to go out or something.
