Is it just me
But wouldn’t you get replacement in first before letting a player leave
Is our club getting more stupid!!
Also we’re in Europa league and so far 1 free in and lacroix out , I see we’ve learnt from last year!!!

We are going to be in talks with two or three and get at least one. Unless it all goes tits up. Which isn't impossible either.

Can't blame Augsburg for trying to maximise the fee. According to Trsnsfermarkt their record sale to date was €26 m for Abdul Rahman Baba (anyone remember him?) in 2015 to, who else, Chelsea.

I remember the Big Bender but that's another story.
The other day whilst strutting in Horsham town centre, I noticed a 'Wimpy' and informed my dear wife that in bygone days I used to frequent such an establishment in Croydon where I used to devour a particular item but could not recall the name of it. Having read the comments above I now realise it was a 'Bender'. Not sampled one of these for many a year.

They also had a fish burger called a Shanty but I don't remember anyone ever trying one.

A ‘Bender in a bun” if I recall and the mods leave it up

There used to a Wimpy in Purley, but they lost this customer to McDonald's

Quite true indeed. Brentford and Bournemouth have also made some good deals. The last player we sold for what I would call "good money" at the time was Wan Bissaka. Unfortunately that profit went into paying off loans.
Before that it was the sale of Bolasie that perked my ears.
With Olise and Guehi, there was little control over the price. Other than them, we haven't sold that many. I'd argue that Andersen (note spelling) and Eze were fair to good returns and we made decent profits on Sorloth and Johnstone. O'Brien, in retrospect, is the outlier

Is this not always the problem when you sell one and then buy a replacement, that the club you're buying the replacement from knows you've got £60m burning a hole in your pocket?!

Mind you, I suppose the alternative is to buy the replacement before you sell the existing player, only to see him fail a medical, ala Mateta!
Make that £52m. We don't sell for big bucks q.e.d.
