Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

Our only saving grace from last season was winning the Conference.
 
I tend to reserve opinions on this type of subject until it's confirmed what our squad looks like.

If it was to stay as currently is then I'm not expecting much more than a similar league position as last season.

But that's unlikely to be the case.
 
It may be the case that the most dramatic events occur off the pitch in the nxt few months as some of our shareholders are exploring a sale of their share and have put bankers to the task of finding potential buyers. With the whole world now basking in a post-world cup extended honeymoon, it will be interesting to see what interested parties emerge.

On the pitch we desperately need to sort out our attacking approach. Maybe we have some new options to field with Franca and Esse et al hopefully stepping up

I'd take an identical league position, if you twin it with an identical European cup finish
 
The brilliant part of having untested players and coaches is that we are in for a surprise. It may be a fun and great surprise, it may me the kind of surprise that requires a massive intact of alcohol to actually make it through the season.

My concern is that it is a lot of football over a long season. The extra games are great but the wear and tear adds up and players get hurt. Are the subs ready to go? Which games become the priority that week for the club?
 
i worry before and during every prem season!

For me i always look at the 3 teams who are/should be worse than us. I think Hull must surely be one, and Ipswich are not as strong as when they went up (and down) 2 seasons ago. IMHO Coventry might surprise a few and i think they will stay up.

I think the third team could come out of the teams in Europa and conf league, so we may be in the mix.

Hopefully, we will be in our usual mid table position and we can sort our home form out, which was pretty poor last season even during our unbeaten run.

A cup run would be nice - realistically getting out of the Europa group stage will be a decent achievement.

Is Sage going to be a Claude Puel or an Arsene Wenger?

None of us can say for sure.

He'll be different to Glasner and will have his own ideas, including the players who he rates, and some of them could be players not selected by Glasner but who suit the way Sage wants to play.
If all the players were fit you could pretty much name a Glasner team.
I'd be surprised if Sage names the same team even if he has the same players available as Glasner.
Managers rarely copy their predecessors.

if he can get a tune out of players like Nketiah like he did with Edouard i'll be well pleased.

He also appears to have a plan B, which is refreshing.

There's definitely hope and expectation for the season, however, our limited squad and another year in Europe will be a challenge for anyone.

My early impressions of Sage are of a very serious guy who has a burning desire to be a winner.
I'm not predicting anything but I do believe that he is the type that will leave no stone unturned in his efforts to be a winner once again. As Glasner once said, winning something makes you want to do it again and again. Sage did very well in France. Now is his chance to prove it wasn't a fluke and that he can do it in England.
Yes we look like losing Lacroix but no one else has gone so far (despite the media hawking our players all round Europe). If we spend what we have strengthening in the right areas I think it will be another strong season
