Ann Widdecombe

Plenty of what could be called crypto-communists on here, ie: far-left fanatics. Again, what was wrong with my post?
Well, let's say accuracy, shall we, or lack of it.

First we see you referring to "communists" of which you say there are "some on here". When asked, you name one but that's all. Now you're asked to name who else, the game changes: now these people are "Crypto communists". Firstly, what do you mean by Crypto Communists? Then, you've named nobody.

So, come on, who are these phantoms?

Progressives can be called crypto communists in the sense that they agree with the general tenets of popular communism.....if not fully as in the self description of 'democratic socialists'.

Do you consider yourself a progressive?

I think most people (including you I expect) know that a crypto-communist is someone who adheres to practically all communist/far-left positions without openly expressing their adherence.
The term communist was used because the reports were of 'communist literature' being found. Communist as a term is somewhat dated these days with the collapse of their failed regimes and the likes of China morphing into capitalist economies.
The terms far-left or just 'left' (considering how extreme even the supposedly moderate left, such as the Labour and Green parties have become) are probably more appropriate.
Hope this helps.

Yup it was odd to see that word, it's rarely used these days since the collapse of the Soviet Union and the British Communist Party. They are still around just rebranded.

Thanks for that.

It's good that you've acknowledged this and will look forward to you abandoning this description of fellow members of this site in future.

Cheers.

Somebody better tell the Morning Star and The Communist Party of Britain.

So did you get a yellow card for the " joke " or not, simple enough question

Yep, your bad little snowflake grass mate who champions free speech couldn’t handle a joke and reported me to Penge, who also doesn’t like me, gave me a yellow.

Your sad little desperate campaign proves nothing. I have nothing to regret and nothing to apologise for.

Not sure what you think I have acknowledged. As Badger said: "They are still around just rebranded."

And if it’s proven then yes throw the book at them. All of us righties said the same about the clown jailed last week. To many though it seems that right wing terror is front page for a lot lot longer than left or Islamic. Maybe there is more of these two so a different story each week !

That's just not the case.

Who killed Jo Cox? I had no idea - i had to look it up

It's the same as Reform/Farage whingeing that there is some sort of conspiracy against him as the press are belatedly asking questions about his £5m 'gift' and his 5 houses, 3 of which aren't declared to parliament. Compare his coverage to Starmer's over accepting a gift of a few suits and pairs of glasses from an existing Labour House of Lords member.

Now we are being told the Times is a left leaning newspaper despite being owned by Murdoch and sometimes paying Farage to write articles for them.

The one eyed nature of this is annoying so I'm going to pushback.

Who murdered Ann? Doesn't look very right wing does he?
Who murdered David Amess? One of Labour's protected class.
Who murdered the children in Southport? One of Labour's protected class.
Who murdered many at concerts, tube trains, buses and has driven into people or stabbed them in many terrorist attacks. Many individuals all being of Labour's protected class.....Who they beg to vote for them.

Once again, one is a PM with the most power in the country.....While Farage wasn't even an MP at the time. The PM broke the rules....I don't remember one leftist coming onto Hol to complain about the rules being broken.

But when it's Farage....they are falling over themselves.

Murdoch is a neoliberal.

Murdoch supported New Labour.....Surely I don't have to tell you this.

I don't know if you notice but New Labour are not very right wing.

Murdoch doesn't give a monkey's about who is in power.....All he cares about is how his businesses are treated......Whoever treats them best he will put his media behind.

Snowflake? You're always whining about people 'bullying' on here.

When it comes to snowflakes....perhaps you check your own record on that.

As for not being popular on the site and with Penge.....Maybe you should look in the mirror and ask yourself why Dan.

What was the Michael Jackson song....Man in the Mirror?

[Chorus]

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

[Some say that after this it goes]
Na-na-na, na-na-na, na-na, na-na
Uh-huh

[But in a specially recorded remix he went]
Dan-na-na, Dan-na-na, Dan-Dan, Dan-Dan
Uh-huh
