Israel v Hamas

Destroy the media output, and you can control the war. Destroy evidence and detain or kill witnesses. Medical staff are prime targets for Israeli detention. Children have been disproportionately killed, many with bullet wounds to the head.

"Assan Almukayed is one of at least 15 Palestinian doctors from Gaza currently in Israeli detention, the most prominent being Kamal Adwan Hospital’s director, Hussam Abu Safia.

Last week, the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory called for an immediate release of Abu Safia, who has been held without charge in an Israeli prison for more than 18 months.

Rights groups and Abu Safia’s lawyer say there are credible reports he has faced “continued and severe abuse”, including severe torture, and that his life is in imminent danger.

Abu Safia and Almukayed were among the Palestinian doctors who refused to leave dozens of newborn infants they were ‌treating ‌after the Israeli military ordered a forced evacuation of northern Gaza." (aljazeera 15.7.26)

The Kamal Adwan hospital was used to keep the hostages who were transported there in hospital ambulances, this has been admitted by Hussam Abu Safia. No sympathy for him

No reaction from TG on this flagrant admission from the Israeli Defence Minister.

It does amuse me slightly that a lot of Israeli politicians and spokespeople don’t even bother with the weak, pathetic excuses that many of TG are still trying to present on here - Israel is more honest about what it’s doing than many posters on here.

I think a few of you need to update your propaganda scripts.

Here you have a senior IDF figure admitting and celebrating the 70,000 dead, while many on here still harp on about ‘Hamas numbers’ and other such outdated propaganda.

When you consider the demographics in Gaza, we know that a huge volume of that 70,000 will be women and children.

Before October 2023, the IDF themselves estimated Hamas had a fighting force of 25-30 thousand, and yet they have killed more than double that.

Your view is Hamas have a right to weapons ? Correct

Seventy...

thousand...

terrorists...

Who is he trying to fool...

Oh.

So have you anything to say about UN finally admitting that Hamas are targeting supplies and aid the the civilians of Palestine?
HAMAS are c-units. There's common ground for us. No-one has said any different.

The Palestinian people are getting shat on by everyone. killed and starved by Israel. Lived under oppression by HAMAS, and now having what limited aid gets through, stolen by them.

Palestinians are not HAMAS. There is a clear distinction.

The majority voted for Hamas, albeit 20 years ago, I know it is an oppressive regime but the Gazans show no indication they want to oust Hamas and buy into the " river to the sea " extinction of Israel. There are enough Gazans to overthrow Hamas if they were inclined to do so.

No easy solution but Hamas can't function without the population allowing them to do so.

If Hamas were ousted with all their supporters, the rest of the Gazans could have a peaceful life and rebuild, there would be plenty of foreign aid and investment.

Major problem is the educational indoctrination has produced has produced generations of younger Gazans who would take a lot of time to deradicalise.

I condemn the radical Israeli settlers , but they will have a voice as long as there are attacks from terrorists.

All very grim

The irony of speaking of indoctrination and then posting the above shouldn’t be lost here.

Hamas won an election in 2006 and there hasn’t been another one since. Around half of Gaza’s population wasn’t even born or old enough to vote in 2006, so it’s a completely meaningless point.

Saying “there are enough Gazans to overthrow Hamas” is similarly meaningless - Hamas is an armed dictatorship that has tortured and executed opponents. Do we expect civilians to overthrow the Taliban or ISIS? Do all Afghans support the Taliban because they haven’t overthrown them..?
That’s without even factoring in that most civilians in Gaza are more concerned with just staying alive at the moment.

The idea that Israel would allow Gazans to peacefully rebuild if not for Hamas is just demonstrable bullshit - the conflict and the core dispute predates Hamas by decades, and Israeli spokespeople are hardly subtle in outlining what their intention is here.

Radicalisation is inevitable when people watch their family members get shot and blown up every day, funny enough. If you watched a foreign state blow up your neighbourhood, killing your friends and family, I’m sure you’d be feeling rather radicalised.

No reply from CPFC Saturn. He is between a rock and a hard place here.

If he says yes he is showing his pro Hamas reality, if he says no he is negating all the pro Hamas stuff he has posted.

I suggest the reply will be anything except an answer, likely abusive

What do you mean by ‘a right’? A right according to who?

What ‘pro Hamas stuff’ have I posted, Owen?

No reply from Team Genocide on this one either.

Must be difficult when you realise your propaganda is out of date.

Israel have a lot of hardliners and it's one version of the truth for them and one version for us. Really depends on the audience. Who was this piece for? It wasn't for our consumption.
It's one of the factors driving the whole conflict.
