Son Racist gesture a few years ago.
It seems you have a problem with Tommy Robinson. He has many Asian friends and associates, but you still think he is racist. You think anti IRA songs are a problem. Restore Britain is a legitimate political party. If you just stopped bringing race into every conversation you have, it would cease to be a problem. A few isolated incidents is no excuse to start moralising about the majority of fans. Get a life.

I just want to support the football team that I have followed for many years and not have politics becoming involved in that
100%
I am not interested in any political movement and frankly these days one person's interpretation of a racist is often very different from someone else's. Then it can become a 'he said/she said' witch hunt.
Then there's the comment about 'educating people'. Sorry but I've rarely heard anything so patronising. I dont need to be educated on this subject thanks. Usualy 'education' is a way of saying you need to learn what I think and start agreeing with me, then you're educated.
Sorry, I'm willing to accept your motives may be honorable but I have no interest in this sort of stuff at Palace. I go to football to get away from all that crap

Nothing racist there boy, free speech. Was anyone arrested? You mention stickers, the hf, put stickers everywhere & has done for the last 10 years or so. You mentioned a fight with the hf, hardly, they ran away. Is that racist? I've had a fight with the hf, 2 ended up in hospital, am I racist? I'd stick to the bbs, where you're more welcome, unless, of course, that is racist. Just saying 😏

Sorry, but it's not illegal nor racist to say that you don't want illegal people here, or that you have a counter sign against the "Refugees Welcome" signs that are distributed and published by the communists.
That's an absurd drama event that the greens and socialist worker like to say.

Have you offered your spare rooms to immigrants yet?

how about 'Palace fans against racism and for Palestine' ?

some racism is serious, other racism seems to be a source of amusement ?

Exactly this, been saying it for years. I once called out a black co-worker who would bang on about racism all the time because he was taking the piss out of gingers. Racist b******.

I was given a final warning for sticking up for ginger people on the BBS, the left saw them as the worst type of white from what I could tell.

Much of this isn't racist its political views. 'Stop the boats' is not racist. Plus its possible to agree with some of what Tommy Robinson says without being an all out supporter of him. Restore Britain is a political party. So you want to drive people away from supporting Palace because they might hold different views to you? Or tell them they need to be educated because you dont agree with them?

Sorry but it seems very divisive. Follow the party line or we dont want you here kind of message.
Palace should neither be left leaning nor should they be right leaning. While I agree outright racism is unacceptable but you cant condemn people for having views. Before anyone starts accusing me of any political persuasion I refuse to discuss my views on here one way or another.
I dont agree with this though. We already have 'Kick it out' Why do we need this too?

hey HOL-Eagles,

in the spirit of taking this Lefty seriously and giving him an appropriate level of respect. I propose a caption competition : The winner gets a weekend for two in a Brighton massage parlour with plus a signed photograph of Winnie Mandela ( she was a Saint ).

"Palace fans against racism and against _ _ _ _"

For openers :

Palace fans against racism and against Botulism" ......cos we all agree that poorly prepared meat products are a real problem and can wreak havoc on your intestines. And Botulism is a very serious problem which we must all pull together to eradicate.

what others ? cut and paste it from below...

Ouch, you had a chance to prove your point and this is it? You had people interested up until then. This post might have blown it for you?

In fact I would suggest you may be racist. If people are concerned about national security, accusations of racism against them perhaps says more about you than them. Are you the best person to lead this?

To be fair I wouldn't want a community of gingers taking over. Would be rather a strain on local amenities and put tanning salons out of business.

This idiot should go on pro Palestinian or anti racist marches on a match day while the rest of us are having a few beers and watching the Palace. Total knob. Leave us alone!
I'm not going to call him names. He clearly does mean well and I can only commend him for it. Massively missed the mark and made to look a little foolish, but his intentions were honest at least. Probably in the wrong category on this forum though, as has been said. This is primarily political and only vaguely Palace related.

I'm impressed, this is a new moderate & soft you. 😉

I'd like to think I generally am moderate.

I think you've got to be a bit crackers to be racist, homophobic or whatever. And so what the OP is espousing here isn't something I could judge him for. However, I take issue at people's concerns with mass immigration being automatically branded racist. Sure, racist people get on board with that doesn't automatically mean that everybody that's concerned about immigration is racist. It's a subtle nuance that is overlooked and it becomes a sticking point when trying to find a common ground on such an emotive subject.

The OP's strategy was a common naivety that so often prevents the subject being discussed sensibly. Alienating the people you hope to educate is a fatal error. Talk to them about their opinion rather than labelling it with a nefarious motive you've simply decided upon.

The last thing we need is to keep on fighting amongst ourselves at matches. Stick to hating various football authorities and abusing them. And let's generally dislike certain pathetic teams that are barely worth worrying about, rather than hating each other.
It's useful to be able to stick together at certain away destinations. Probably best not to start fighting each other and making a name for ourselves as hooligans. We don't need that in Europe.
Honestly have been in enough football violence for a lifetime throughout the 80s and 90s in particular. I don't really want to be caught up in any trouble amongst ourselves. I've noticed this Addo and HF thing a few times. Is this also related? One left, one right? We could do without that.
