Glasner to Forest

Interesting that it's only for 12 months. despite loving life in London.

A few things spring to mind here. He will be 30 in a few weeks so maybe Palace didn't want to commit to a longer deal, especially if wages are similar to his old deal.

Maybe Kamada wants to keep his options open longer term so the 12 months suits all parties.

Ideally i would have preferred 1 year with an option of a second. However, overall it's good news and one less squad issue for Sage to think about.
Maybe he wants to see if OG is still at Florist in 12 months

Palace has only won something under OG whats your point to be selective because you don't like the truth

Clough was at Forest for almost 20 years

Who cares which manager was in charge they are a big club because of there pedigree.

2 European Championships
2 FA Cup
4 English Cups
1 UEFA Super Cup
1 Top Flight League Championship

Yeah they are a small club.
I never said they were a small club. Stop putting words in my mouth. I'm simply comparing Palace of today with Forest of today. I was chatting to a Liverpool fan a while back. A real scouser through and through. You know what his attitude is to his own club's history? A simple shrug. He said what we (Liverpool) did in the past is great and I like to sometimes look up old cup finals or read books on the old achievements but...thats in the past. Fans that keep pointing to something they achieved 30 years ago are the ones with a small club mentality. He said as a Liverpool fan what he cares about most is staying relevant. Winning things NOW. Being at the top NOW. not what was done in the past. And he actually pointed to Forest fans as an example of a club thats going nowhere but they keep banging on about Clough because its all they have.
So returning to the point that seems so very hard for you to grasp. Forest are a big club. Over 40 years ago they did win things. However. compared to Palace in the here and the now. To ALL football fans born less than 40 years ago. in their life time Forest have spent over half of it in the Championship or lower. During that same period Palace have spent 14 years in the top flight, have reached numerous semi finals, a couple of finals and won three trophies. We are factually in modern football more successful than Forest and by extension at least on the same level. Probably seen by most younger nuetrals these days as a bit bigger than them.
In the end its only that club's own supporters that care what they won 40 years ago.

I actually agree with him. It's the "we are a big club and deserve success" Err no you don't, you earn success.

Sorry not been on here for a while, lost my Mum suddenly in November, then made redundant and to top it all lost my Dad in March.

To say it’s been difficult is an understatement, but from adversity comes opportunities and prosperity.

Now launched our new consultancy business and all going well.

Finally in a space where I can continue with my life and think about other things.

On Glasner - think he was tapped up by Manure - hence not signing a new contract, then Carrick did what he did so Manure had to appoint him..!!

Leaving OG nowhere - hence he ends up at Forest under the Greek maffia boss.

If he thought Parish was a nightmare to work with - then he’s in for a whole world of pain now..!!

Meantime happy with Sage..!!

COYP..!!

Sorry to hear of such difficult events virtually one after the other.

Glad you feel able to return to the mundane that is Holnet. I suspect you'll have a different perspective on various aspects of life.

Keep strong PE

Yep Mate - having to write eulogy after eulogy was tough - I can’t lie..!! Dad was born down Holmesdale Road as was I. Dad was a Palace junior until
he was 18 and played against the likes of Moore and Greaves..!!

Dad was 7 years into Alzheimer’s - such a wicked disease - we lost the old Dad a couple of years ago. Then lost the person that was Dad..!!

Mum - just went into a hospital with a chest infection - turned into pneumonia - got a call at midnight to say she was passing..!! 😢

Then dealing with all that and their estates has been so tough, alongside building a new business has been the toughest moments of my life..!!

I’ve got a strong family around me and for that I’ll be forever grateful..!!

We breed um strong at Palace..!!

COYP..!!

There’s only one man worthy of a statue, Sir Steve of Coppell 😎
Sir Steve won naff all.

Glasner got Palace their first, then a treble. in my mind, no comparison.

Glasner statue. Right outside Parish's office 😀
or in amongst the HF
