anybody else noticed. The Dougie Eagles ( & former Eagles like Olise) are soaring in the World Cup. The other players ? not so much.

I can believe Dougie and Ollie did not get on, whether or not the Plan B conversation took place. We have seen Ollies temperament and from snippets here and there I sense Dougie has a bit of an ego. The scene was set for them not to get on. Frankly I was never sure Dougie and Roy were best buddies, since Roy referred to him as Doug.
I'd welcome him back, but probably on the understanding SP was the conduit between Dougie and Pierre, particularly if Pierre is a prickly French man. I doubt it will happen and I share the view of all the Hobbs doubters. Is the disgraced Cardiff guy still around as a Consultant?

Iain Moody continued to work with Palace after his dismissal; he was allegedly shortlisted to succeed Dougie; at the time I interpreted the lengthy period between Dougie's departure and his replacement as an unofficial trial for Moody and Dougie's assistant Ben Stevens. His agency Sapienza specialises in helping young players and I think he had a big hand in identifying the young prospects we recruited. Stevens afaik is still at Palace.
