Glasner to Forest

Glasner, was probably attracted by not only a huge salary but vast funds to spend in the transfer window, unlike penny pinching Parish. who is merely happy to survive in the bottom half of the table, repeatedly, while selling the family silver.
Perhaps, but Parish's approach has been vastly more fruitful.

This is clearly flawed.
Whether you like it or not Forest are a bigger club than Palace.
Based on your last 2 points we are bigger than Man Utd, and we are clearly not.

Having a passionate fanbase is irrelevant to a club's size. Selhurst has a 25k capacity, Forest is almost 31k, and sells out every game. Not only that with our limited hospitality our revenue on match days is limited. Forest's match day revenue will far exceed ours (just like new grounds such as Spurs and Arsenal get more matchday revenue than Man U despite having smaller capacities).

However, i think it is fair to say Forest isn't a massive jump up on Palace, making Glasner's decision a little strange. However, i suspect no big 6 club will touch him and Forest has made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
True sadly

You are so delusional.

You really think Palace are a bigger club compared to Forest.

Forest has won top flight league multi times and European cup as well as all the domestic cups multi times (It doesn't matter if that was 10-20-30 years ago)

Palace has won an FA Cup yes that is an achievement rep for it was bigger back in days Forest won it and we won a Micky Mouse Europe competition they had won multi times what would be today Champions league.

Forest are one of the founding members not like Palace trying to make up history claiming.

With your list you have shown you do not understand what a big club is.
By your reasoning, that means Preston ARE a bigger club than us. To me, previous achievements are in the past. They do not count today. Palace currently are a bigger club than Forest

Who cares? He was no longer our manager when he was appointed to this role.

He owes us nothing and should always be remembered for two (and more,) amazing Wembley wins and an Unforgettable night in Leipzig.

Ok it s Forest but I think I felt more betrayed when Venables left to go to QPR or Dowie to Charlton.

Football and loyalty have not been on speaking terms for a long time.

Where I do care will be if they poach our best players or simply unsettled them. They can sign them.butbfpr their value to us not them.

Glasner deserves the mega pay for having to work for the fruit loop that is the Forest Chairman.

Now can we sign some new players please?.

Remind me where Forest finished in the table last season? 😉

Even though you’re right, Glasner clearly wants an owner who throws money at the playing squad

History will repeat itself - he'll either get the sack early in true Forest style or walk after a disagreement with the owner. Can't trust this man.

Pardew seems close to Parish, so I imagine his reaction mirrors our chief's. I expect OG will at least look to try and get key players from us, as he does seem to like to work with players he knows and trusts. Hopefully, Parish tells Forest not to bother asking. The ideal scenario would be for the player(s) to turn down a move, stating they only want to move to a bigger and more successful club than Palace!

Agreed, trouble is, majority of players are thick & their agents are money driven.

clearly not.

What crowds do Preston get?

What annual revenue do they generate?

Are they in the Premier league - now or ever?

Yes they won the FA cup about 90 years ago and the league over 100 years ago, but i would say that is almost irrelevant today. Yes Forest have twice won Europe's top honour almost 50 years ago but they have bigger crowds and higher revenue than us, and have done for a number of years.

Because they have a bigger ground! Our potential is far bigger. Just ask yourselves which club brought more supporters to Wembley than Chelsea, Manchester City, Aston Villa in the last year and as many as Liverpool? Twenty thousand travelled to an obscure German City on the border with Poland with a further ten thousand in Selhurst to watch the midweek final of a Uefa “tin pot” tournament. That loyalty and support is the prize for developing Selhurst Park and which will only grow with the ground capacity.

It is 'Plain as a pikestaff' that supporters have varying criteria for determining whether one club is 'Bigger' than another.
I have concluded that Nottm Forest are historically a 'Bigger' club based on a number of factors, Trophies, History, Infrastructure, Financial power, fanbase etc etc.
We have had our recent successes but Nottm Forest have been back-to-back Champions in Europe, they have won the league and perhaps have a global reach greater than ours at this juncture.

They are a 'bigger' club than us.

We are currently a more successful club than they are however.

I'd suggest that's the conflation.

Glasner's trick is to go to club's where any success will be considered an overachievement and expecations are lower. He has that with Forest. With us he would have to sustain success which can only be achieved through winning the Europa League, far from guranteed.

Therefore we no longer fit his modus operandi and Forest do. I don't give a f**k about Forest nor Glasner's career now he has left. He had an amazing impact here but times move on, so I'm only worried about Palace now. Time to give the whole Forest thing a rest, I think the Marianakis period will not be a successful one for them and will end terribly. I'm not envious.

How are we powerless? If his price tag is £25m then several clubs will be interested. Think we can get more if he wants to go
Think tbis was written by a 5 year old. Just lazy clickbait nonsense. Like most of these so called journalists they just sit around thinking what might get a headline, then write that with no source or hard facts.
