Adam Wharton

I heard an interview last year where Wharton's agent talked about how he was ahead of where they had planned for him to be at this point in his career, so I wouldn't be surprised if he stuck with us for another season. It might be that the club offers him improved terms and another year on his current deal. If he left for anything less than £100m, I think most fans would feel disappointed, given the way the market has gone in recent years.

Speculation that we may well do a deal.
Where is the ambition??
Thought Adam would be with us for at least another season.

Why would any sane manager swop Wharton for Eliot?

The scousers can Foxtrot Oscar!

Horrible club and they extorted maximum amounts from us for Sakho and Benteke. If they want Wharton we should totally hold out for top dollar or tell them to poke it (like we did with Newcastle regarding Guehi).

Whartons value to us exceeds £100M and we should accept nothing less.

With the silly money going around at present - i.e. £100m on Tonali & £130m on Anderson, I agree £100m is the absolute minimum we should accept. He still has 3 years on his contract and is only 22.

No thanks to Harvey Elliott.

I don't mind if he goes for that sort of money. It's our current business model and will allow us to buy 3 more quality youngsters.

This is from Transfermarkt.

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott currently holds a market value of € 20.00, (£17m). However, Liverpool reportedly value the 23-year-old at €30 m to €35m (£25m - 29m) reflecting his potential and Premier League experience as interest builds from clubs like Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig

I personally, wouldn't change the price if Elliot were included or not. If they want rid, fair enough. Either way 100 mil. Time for us to grow a pair in the transfer market.

If we did grow a pair the Mickey Mousers would still boot us in them and nick him anyway.

I don't have a problem with him going there. I just want us to get one of these inflated fees for a change. They over spent on the crap they already have, they can over spend on Wharton - who is better and more of a prospect. What they actually need is Lacroix but best not to tell them.
