Has the game on completly mad!!!
Spurs pay 47m for Vuskovic a 19 year old kid who has never played a premier game ffs. Then 100m for Tonali who seems to be a very ordinary player. And finally City pay 116m for Anderson. Costing that much you would think he would be a star in the world cup. Having watched him in all 4 games don't think much of him, anonymous most of the time does not seem to effect the game. He did in his defence makd a forward pass to set up Kabe's 2nd goal against DRC. But 116m game's going to hell on a hand cart

It is Brighton who are paying a large sum to Tottenham for his services.
Tottenham signed him for £12 Mill from Hajduk Split.
He has played in the Bundesliga but not in the PL.

And with add ons Brighton will be paying £50 m. We really got our pants pulled down with the Olise deal.

If what you say is true, and I have no reason to disbelieve you, then why did he not play given Spurs sh** defence and why would they sell him
Vukovic arrived at Tottenham as an inexperienced teenager and they loaned him out to Hamburg where he played 30 games.
In pre-season they have purchased Van Hecke and Senesi and Brighton are willing to pay a significant fee for his services.

I didn’t know they had bought Senesi as I thought he was due to sign for a top European club.
He’s a very capable defender who’s also adept with the ball at his feet.
Tottenham have made some very smart purchases with I’m sure more to come, and I think they will be a team to watch under DeZerbi next season.
Without the distraction of Europe I think they could push for the top 6.
One of their main problems has been buying players who can’t stay fit.

Out of interest, how much do people think Palace will spend this window ( I know it partly depends on outgoings) and how much will the most expensive signing be?
I think both figures could be on the low side given our splurge in January.
With that in mind, I think we could do better than spend circa £20 million on Guessand.

I am in total agreement, and I will be surprised to see him in our shirt this coming season.

I understand your comments and don't disagree but my point is still valid 47m for him is economics of the mad house. Think the pack of cards will collapse one day and hopefully sanity can return to the game. Or am I just being an old fool

Really? What choice did he have? Don't extend the contract and let Olise go to Bayern for £30m was the only other option. I suspect SP squeezed the maximum release clause he could achieve at that point.
When he joined from Reading find it hard to believe there was a release clause

He wasn't going to sign without one. That's how we got him for £8m. It is also interesting that despite Chelsea activating his £35m release clause he chose to sign a new deal with us with a higher release clause.

BTW there's an interesting article on the Beeb about the rise of Olise starting with his childhood football. It appears he was brilliant at a number of sports when at Junior School.

Basically, he's a one-off character, as geniuses usually are.

Fair enough, we just seem to sell our best players cheaply and pay over the odds for medicore players JSL,Johnson,Benteke, Nketiah, etc
