The news so far...

I sense that off season impatience. I get it. The World Cup does not compare to the earthly glory of Palace.
Quite so.

What about new contracts/ renewals, new signings, players that are to be sold?

Everywhere I look there's gossip of abc players joining/leaving xyz cubs but with Palace there is a deafening silence.

No change there then lol.

Nobody has actually done anything yet really, it's all just talk. Well, a spattering at most.

Usually during a World Cup nothing else gets done. Even the spattering there has been, is more than you'd usually see.

The window is long, if we are making moves we have plenty time to.

As expected Hayden Hackney has signed for Everton.
Chelsea have signed Marco Palestra from Atalanta.
Brighton have signed Struijk from Leeds.
Tottenham have signed Van Hecke from Brighton.

I was tempted to try following a random team's transfers once to compare, but just didn't bother. It's funnier to just complain about us. It's our way.
That’s true🤣

But I’ve realised over the years, it’s no good moaning about the lack of signings, because other teams throw money around like confetti, and it doesn’t always strengthen them, we spent £85 million in January, are we a better team for it?
Parish bides his time hoping to get the right deal at the right price and sometimes it back fires and we miss out, but after 13 years and still being in the premier league and now winning trophies, I think I’ll stop moaning about lack of signings and leaving our business so late, because it does appear our leader knows exactly what he’s doing

Four clubs, one signing each. And that is the be all and end all. It's a "spattering", just as I described it.

We are one behind those clubs, and zero behind the rest. We don't need to rush and sign someone for the sake of it, just to keep at the top of such a numerical list.

Hackney is a good signing for Everton, I will admit that. As is well known we had some interest there, I won't sob into my cornflakes though.

Will Palestra even feature for Chelsea? He has had one full season of football, that being on loan at Cagliari. Could well end up back out on loan to Strasbourg in a few weeks time.
