American Palace Fan Needing Help - @ Everton

American Palace fan here who will be in the UK for the first time during that weekend (Aug 22) and would love to attend away at Everton and join the traveling Palace fans.

Likely just be me so one ticket needed.

Was hoping the first game would be at Selhurst but here we are.

I understand tickets are quite different in the states than in the UK but what (if any at all) are my best options?

Join the club membership for chance to get away ticket?

Through this site? Or third party verified sites?

What is feasible for someone in my position? I will only be in the UK for this opening weekend and really want to see Palace instead of a random premier league or championship match that day.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I expect the away allocation to sell out but couldn't be sure. I looked up Everton and they tend to sell out quickly, officially. But their fans are talking about the way resale sites have their tickets.
So that's my advice: look on the ticket resale sights. Tickets are very likely to be there. They'll be more but not crazy prices. Probably 100 or a little bit more or less.

We have a loyalty points system. Being first game of the season and an away allocation of around 3,000, you won't be able to get one through the Palace box office. It will sell out to members.

Your realistic options are:

A) Ask on a forum (like this) and a member with sufficient points might be willing to buy you a ticket if they are not going themselves.

B) Get an Everton membership and try to buy a single ticket in the home section.

C) Black market.

Thanks! Is it normal for away fans to attend games outside of the away stands? Or would I have to wear neutral colors?

U.S. is totally different with that dynamic but if I’m going to the only palace fan among thousands of Everton fans I just want to be aware of that before I go down that road.

I think you'd want to be a bit careful. Even if a scallywag Everton fan didn't start on you, the stewards might chuck you out. Keep yourself to yourself and you'd probably be alright.
