Well, it's a bit like the Moscow State Trials, what's the point in pleading innocent?
When rape is such a difficult thing to prove one way or the other I tend to believe women when there are multiple of them accusing the same person of the same thing.
Shouldn’t you question why you don’t believe them?

Pretty much how every palace fan treats lewis dunk even tho he was cleared of sexual assault a few years ago.
I'm glad we weren't on the same Sexual Assault jury we may have come to blows.
I go by the evidence and even if I suspect they are guilty the evidence must support that. Suspicion is not a reason to find someone guilty.*
There is an argument about changing the presumption of innocence and moving to a European style "search for truth". However if we ever did that it must be across the board and not for selected crimes.
*Rape is a difficult crime to prove. However if a bank claimed that I robbed them you would not take their word over mine you would expect the bank / police to provide evidence.

I think it's fair to say that football fans are not unbiased judges of other team's players' character.
There’s a huge difference between believing someone and having cast iron proof that something like rape actually happened. I would have been of the same mind as you if I was on that trial.

Excellent post, i have been on jury service and it provided a wealth of knowledge and lots of respect for the judge who was firm, fair and did not like sloppiness from anyone.

No, no - remember we have been told for years this is purely about self-defence. There was no ethnic cleansing of the land, this is just purely coincidence.
Much more important we focus on pensioners being arrested in the U.K. for holding inoffensive placards… that’s the real story of course.
Interesting how many of the free speech champions are so comfortable with it - not even a half arsed ‘two tier’ reference.

He didn't say the same about Gaza though. Lebanon didn't do the October attacks. It may have sounded like an off the cuff remark but clearly the USA is warning Israel off of Lebanon. But nothing about Palestine.
