Excellent. Got our next manager lined up!
I would like to see him get the gig at some point in his career. I do think he would do well.

He was rumoured to be in the running for Celtic a few times, first when Ange left, then when Brenda left for the second time, and just most recently before they gave O'Neill another extension. Although talk was that he was too defensively minded for their tastes.

Don't know how they come up with that conclusion , just because he was a Defender and Jed is Defencive midfield in there playing days 🫣

Nobody knows, including Parish, if he is going to be any good, he has no real track record, lets all hope he will be the nuts, and be able to handle the pressure cooker that is the premier league, only time will tell, it is 50/50 at the moment, when Glasner said in October that he wanted to leave, Sage had no record of managing at all, lets all hope he is the guy we want.

Regis Le Bris did not have a stellar 'Track record' when he was appointed Sunderland manager.
He secured promotion for them in his inaugural season at the club and last season they finished 7th in the PL.

Yes, we all hope we have found a diamond, and will certainly get full backing from all fans, at the beginning of the season.

This may have been a calculated appointment. Parish would have known about Sage from Textor who hired and fired him at Olympic Lyonnaise. Knowing that OG only had a two year contract SP may well have kept tabs on him at Lens. Anyone who can get a tune out of Edouard, win the Coup de France and come second to PSG can’t be all that bad.

Optimistic perhaps, but this is my thinking.

He still hasn't been confirmed as the new manager, i haven't seen any photo's of him holding the shirt.

If he plays better football than Roy, doesn't manage to win the trophies of Glasner but still wins more games than he loses, then that will do me.
I'm fed up of trophies but want to be enthralled on occasions by football at Selhurst!
The occasional 30 yarder in the top corner, mazy dribble past 3 opponents that doesn't lead anywhere but in itself is a thing of beauty, the whipped cross followed by a bullet header which hits the net before the keeper can react.
I'm not asking for much.

And if he does it with Edouard in the team I will ride through Croydon on a donkey in the nude.
