Croatian centre-back. Would be a cheap rotation option who'd provide more than his price tag dictates. Lyon have to sell players right now after the mess a certain J.T. left them in.
Real Sociedad have a €3 million option on him, but if they don't exercise it or he turns them down, he will be available presumably not much higher than the clause.
He is very familiar with our expected incoming manager Pierre Sage, with 46 of his 57 Lyon appearances coming under Sage.
Just lifted the Copa del Ray on loan at Sociedad under Pellegrino Matarazzo. Played the full final versus Atléti, as well as five out of the seven games in the buildup, and a regular in La Liga.
Whilst I believe we should and will keep our main back-three of Jaydee, Chris, and Max, I do see us having more rotation in those spots across another busy season with Europa League football secured. In my view we will need two rotation options, one being Chadi Riad, and the other being vacant as things stand.
In light of that, Duje could be useful at a low cost. I believe he has the ability, experience, and would be a good fit, and played in the same shape as we are used to, when he worked with Sage previously.
