West ham meltdown

I noticed them having very large attendances. Surprisingly.
How many would we get, maximum, normally, with a bigger stadium? Hard to know. I'd guess 45k-50k for a big match. I'd say we'd average about 38-40k. Just guesses.
Obviously they were s***, but still getting 50-60k.

Weren't they were giving away tickets to local school kids?

We need Gold and Silver memberships to even be allowed to join the queue for expensive tickets.

Looking at the empty seats at games this season, especially everton at home, i'd say we struggle to fill our 26k stadium.

* Capitalisation of first sentence, and;
* Need for comma after 'grammar police'

Replace 'i don't want to be the grammar police but a few commas would be appreciated' with
'I don't want to be the grammar police, but a few commas would be appreciated'.
Job done.

Anyway. West Ham - glad to see the back of them.

I genuinely think home games being constantly moved away from a Saturday 3.00pm kick off is ruining attendances. There are many families who don’t want to be taking their kids on a school night when it means they will not get home until past 11.00pm in some cases. I’d like to see stats for how many 3.00pm Sat matches we’ve actually played in the last season.

There are also too many tickets being held back for corporate sales which often don’t get taken up.

Everything is done for money and tv now rather than fans, but it’s not really a surprise to any of us.

Something is going on with ticketing sites too. We, and the entire Premier League (and world), need rid of the Ticketmaster scum.

3pm K.O across all divisions remind me of standing outside a TV shop window, as a kid , watching the full time scores.
extra time was uncommon, barely a few minutes.
wish we could have this back.

Season just finished, we played 10 matches @ 15.00. The 'Results' section at the bottom of the home page is where i got that info.

Thanks for pointing that out however I’ve just been through that list and it showed only 4 x 3.00pm Saturday home matches all season, which is just over 20% only of all home matches.

I’m only pointing out that the traditional day and time for watching your team has been rather stolen by tv rights.
