I was in Como 4 weeks ago. Nice scenery. If anyone has the time or inclination, I would recommend a trip to the Villa Balbianello where they filmed some bits of Casino Royale. I wouldn't bother with Bellagio.
It's easy to get water buses from Como port if you book in advance, but the trips are long and slow. Anyone with plenty of dosh should consider a private boat. It seems a waste to go there just for the footy and not check out the lake.

I was dubious about any tournament stuff at first but when I saw that the matches were 45 mins, I thought it could be a good pre-season limbering up.

It’s a wonderful place. If you are near Bellagio go up the road to the chapel of Madonna del Ghisallo. Spectacular views and the chapel is full of cycling memorabilia. If you are into cycling the cycling museum is quite fun as well.

I’ve done it a few times on the bike but you can drive up or get a taxi easily.
