That's not true. For the last 12 months:

Shrewd purchase:

• Canvot
• Benitez (no transfer fee - fits a great 2nd goalkeeper as when he plays I don't get worried)

Jury still out (show promise, but not on a consistent basis):

• Pino
• JSL
• Sosa - was terrible first half of season, but when he's come in recently I think he's been ok (and only cost us 2 million)

Waste of money:

• B. Johnson - I just don't ever see anything that makes me think this will come good.

I also thought the loan deal for Guessand was not bad. He showed signs of real promise and scored a few goals, but the injury really derailed his ability to stay. Uche was so/so - obviously the club determined he wasn't worth the fee to keep him, so left out of Conference League knockout.
