His penalty taking technique hasn’t improved any for sure. Looked out of his depth for the half hour he was on the pitch.
I knew as soon as he stepped up he was going to miss. The boy just will not learn

He’s good enough to pick a corner, run up, and place it where he wants. Presumably their much vaunted set piece coach doesn’t coach penalties.
It was negligent management to allow Eze to take a penalty.

I'm a bit vindictive too, taking pleasure in my least favourite player, Gabriel, missing the penalty.
Call me od fashioned but I don't like players who elbow players off the ball, dive, cheat etc - all 'qualities ' Gabriel posesses in abundance.

How can a player of Eze's calibre miss not one, but two similar penalites when his shooting is second to none i PL? And did he not learn anything for his Wembley pen against Liverpool? Having said that, seeing that central cheating defender "doing a Salah" penalty was a perfect finish of the club season....

In the past Glasner has praised Eze's professionalism and his propensity to stay on after training to practice his shooting and free kicks; one has to assume this did not include penalties.
Surely the penny has dropped that the stupid stuttering run doesn't work if you roll the ball into the keeper's hands or drag the ball wide.
Eze is a powerful striker of the ball - make use of this asset.
More broadly you can see why Tomey is going to the World Cup.
In tight games where penalties determine the outcome a penalty specialist like Toney becomes a key asset.
