Rayo Vallecano are 8th in La Liga, they finished last season in 8th place and they went into last night's game on the back of a 9 match unbeaten run.
I expected more from them than they produced.'Toothless' in the final third, overall disappointing and deserved to lose.

A lot of that was down to Glasner sussing them and us not allowing them to settle and play

The club spent a significant amount on transfer fees whilst Glasner had been in charge but alas not all have proved value for money thus far.

I suspect dependant on the specific role of the DOF and how that aligns with the view of the manager.

Returning the game last night it is the model of plausibility that the RV supporters were confident of victory given that they were 8th in the League, had not lost in 9 games and we were a team who finished 15th in the PL and were not in the best of form. They got a rude awakening !

Want to add as well...RB Leipzig Arena is a beautiful stadium. I'd love us to have something like that. Modern, but not soul-less, plenty of leg room, clean, good facilities, decent concourse and then the ability to go outside and come back in if needed and free public transport immediately outside the ground.

On Tuesday night whilst enjoying a tipple in a delightful garden in a local Public House, a member of staff asked for my opinion as to the outcome of the Final and I informed him that I was confident of victory ! Shortly afterwards whilst returning to my abode I crossed paths with a local supporter of our club who was walking his dog and I expressed the same sentiments to him.
Perhaps my positivity was on account of the heat and the intoxicating liquids !
