If/when WHU get relegated, who would you like us to buy from them?

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace want Quinten Timber
The last line in the article is " West Ham United wanted to sign Timber previously." One of the best things about either WHU or Spurs going down is that there will be less competition when we do try to sign players. I suspect Diouf would be already at Palace given our interest in him if WHU were not in the Premier League. We all know there will be a lot of players we will be linked with over the summer most of which we won't end up signing.

I reckon they will stay up. Had a bet on spurs to go down at the start of the week.

Spurs were pony last night.
Surely Richalison isn’t in the current World Cup squad , in front of the Chelsea center forward.
That 50p header last night was as bad as Johnson’s a couple of weeks ago.

Decent player. Would fit in well here. Midfield enforcer and box to box energy. However, Villa are a likely candidate.

I’d have Spider back - was one of best defensive defenders in Europe till Utd ruined him.
I would only consider it if Munoz left. Otherwise, I want both Cardines and Imray to have opportunities. I don't like seeing the pathway for our youngsters blocked by having too many proven PL players ahead of them. Both Imray out on loan and Cardines on Sunday have shown that they may well be able to become PL players and I'd rather they became them with us.

The problem, of course, is allowing them time to settle. It took Mitchell time but because there wasn't any other option, he was allowed to make mistakes etc. Too often our youngsters aren't given the opportunity (i.e. a run in the team) unless it's a "needs must" situation as happened with AWB, Mitchell, Devenny and even Ozoh under Hodgson.

With WHU losing Gold, Brady & Sullivan in such a short period of time, rumored financial challenges & facing Championship football in August its difficult to predict what their stance will be on any potential outgoing players / prices.

Its quite likely that several PL clubs will be trying their luck to see what bargains they can pick up.

Summerville for me

I like him but I think they'll want far too much and it's possible to find equal talents elsewhere.

Fernandes and Bowen are obviously good players but they'll be far too pricey and have their sights set higher.

El Hadj Diouf I like as I think we've pushed our luck so far with how reliable Mitchell is in terms of performance and fitness. But if we want to be competitive in league and cups then I think a quality lwb to rotate would be good. Might also be too pricey though.

I am led to believe that W.Ham paid Slavia Prague £19.5 Mill rising to £22.5 Mill and a sell-on clause was included.
