HS2

The decline in elites.

To think we ran an empire without computers but with Eton top graders.
Had inventors who created the modern world.

Today, I wouldn't trust these overpaid pen pushers to finish a wa*nk successfully.

In a social sense, I'd take the universities back a century or two.

Quite an image. Pen pushers would have both hands full.

It is more like a tube extension than a railway.

I have seen serious rail people say it will end up as a freight line, like the PO underground railway, too few actually want the trip anymore, it is a huge turn-off to customers.

It has damaged people's lives, their homes and businesses, torn up the countryside and 😎 the absurd 100 million £'s bat-tunnel.

A monument to British incompetence, this is just not acceptable and acutely damaging to what was once our reputation.

Why can we not do something which even third world countries are now doing at a fraction of the cost and on time.

😎

We've become bloated and corrupt which is apparent in any government department or contract. We've become overly regulated and legalised in order to justify such bloatedness and corruption.

Rain stops HS2 in it's tracks, assuming it ever gets any........

'Rain could delay £100 billion HS2 even further, admits boss'.

The aim of laying the first piece of track for rthe high speed train line in 2029 could be hit by bad weather, MPs are told.

😡

Obviously you couldn't let go of that image either.

🙂

Even Bob could see HS2 was going to end in tears, as far back as 1979
