Lamptey would have been a good shout at the start of the season, Muñoz will be gone in the summer and we will be playing a with back four

He’s only 25 think it’s more staying fit with him

He's just had his contract terminated by Fiorentina because he can't get fit - played 25 mins for them all season after doing his ACL in his 2nd appearance.

His time at Brighton also tailed off due to injury, and specifically knee injuries.

Seems like one of those whose career will unfortunately never take off - we should stay well clear.

Lamptey is small in stature but is physically strong.
Certainly fleet of foot - a few years ago he was recorded as the quickest player in the PL.
Graham Potter signed him for Brighton from Chelsea.

Back in the mists of time, Graeme Souness opined that because of his height Lamptey might get "Pinned" by attackers preventing him from jumping and challenging for the ball in the air.
