Any Reform candidates in the Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, and Wandsworth council elections ?Experts asserted that Conservatives would struggle against Labour in London. We regained Westminster, we held Kensington and Chelsea and we now control Wandsworth. Jason Perry has been re-elected as Mayor of Croydon.
Furthermore we held Bexley, Bromley, Hillingdon, Harlow, and Fareham comfortably.
It was asserted we’d never make gains in the north of England, however we won seats on Trafford Council in Greater Manchester, in North Tyneside, and we held our seats in Leeds.
As predicted it proved to be a challenging night for us, however in places where Conservatives have struggled in recent years, we started to make progress.
Of course not every campaign delivered the result we wanted and my thoughts are with the dedicated and hard-working councillors who will no longer be carrying out their duties.
For the record, my ward returned a Conservative councillor !

It is remarkable that you are so optimistic about the Conservative party and so pessimistic about everything else.Experts asserted that Conservatives would struggle against Labour in London. We regained Westminster, we held Kensington and Chelsea and we now control Wandsworth. I do know there was Reform representation in Westminster and Wandsworth, I cannot vouch for Kensington & Chelsea.Any Reform candidates in the Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, and Wandsworth council elections ?

I am not a 'universal' doomsayer, such emotions are largely confined to our team, influenced by several years of 'Thin' interspersed with a modicum of 'Thick' !It is remarkable that you are so optimistic about the Conservative party and so pessimistic about everything else.

I don't want to spoil the party but look at who runs most councils and then the second biggest and it predicts a Lab-Lib pact and the cost that the Liberals want will be unfettered immigration best to mention it now as the next event will be the G.E.
I realise it would be a pact and at a G.E. people forget about protest they concentrate on income and expenditure. Never has council election voting carried over to a G.E.

The erudite and charming Jacob Rees-Mogg has long advocated an electoral pact between Conservatives and Reform.I realise it would be a pact and at a G.E. people forget about protest they concentrate on income and expenditure. Never has council election voting carried over to a G.E.

On the campaign trail some charming gentleman said to me that akin to two starlets arriving at the same event in identical outfits, the Conservatives and Reform face the embarrassment of fighting the next General Election on indistinguishable manifestos. That's my fear that reform will just become tories 2.0 and farage gets ousted as pm after two years.

In the genes possibly? The erudite and charming Jacob Rees-Mogg has long advocated an electoral pact between Conservatives and Reform.

I have had the pleasure and honour of being in the estimable Jacob's company on several occasions, he is an urbane gentleman, the very portrait of suave aplomb and a pillar of moral and linguistic rectitude. In the genes possibly?

He wouldn't wear those surely? If he did they'd be 100 years old and hand made on a loom.In the genes possibly?
