44 Points , Mathematically safe , not even Chuck Norris can beat us up.

Leeds are level on points with us are unbeaten in their last 6 PL games which included victories at Man Utd and a draw at Bournemouth.Their remaining fixtures are not encounters against Man C and Arsenal.
Willo. You’re contradicting yourself. Leeds have to play spurs and West Ham. They can’t both win and lose both games

EXACTLY! the only scenario that works where we fall through a trapdoor is:
  • We fail to get a single point from our remaining 4 league games.
  • Both Spurs and West Ham suddenly turn in top 4 form and more or less win all their remaining games.
  • For West Ham this also means a win against Arsenal, who have just been presented with a golden opportunity to win the league.
  • For Spurs they actually have to win a home PL game, which they've not been able to do for FIVE months and they have to do that against two sides that are in good form in Leeds and Everton. On most occasions an away team has taken the lead this season at Spurs the home team have lost. Can easily see Leeds beating Spurs (look at their recent away performance at Man U for example). Let's also not get too carried away with Spurs' recent two away wins. They narrowly beat relegated Wolves and an Aston Villa side who just couldn't be a**ed ahead of their semi-final.
  • It means if Spurs and West Ham win all their games then Leeds lose two out of three remaining games and then likely have to get something against the in-form Seaweeds to be confident of staying above us (if we lose all four games).
  • And Forest also have to get something to overtake us from Newcastle (possible), Man U and Bournemouth (not so likely)
I am a pessimist when it comes to Palace and remember Oldham but FFS this would require a significant number of unlikely scenarios to go against us involving four other sides in the lower reaches of the PL. It also would set a record for a team to be relegated on a record number of points for a 20 team PL.

It is extremely unlikely that this doomsday combination of results will happen and send us down.

so, we must play our B team in the League. And not risk injuries to any of our A team ? we need a fit A team for Leipzig ?
I think we should play our strongest side against Everton and give it a go to finally put to bed any slight doubts we might have, then we can give the deadwood erm I mean the fringe players🤣 the last three games to do their worst 😇

We have 3 games that we can go strong , but no matter how much it pains me we got to rest players against Arse , that would give a good break , but if its all done and dusted can rotate last 3 games 👍🏻

I agree

The guys have a bit of a hangover today and light training tomorrow and then high from the great victory last night give at go against Everton

Then play the weaker 11 against both Man City and Arsenal so no bias - even our best team totally focussed and motivated could easily lose both games so not much gain in risking fatigue and injury in those two

And another full strength effort against Brentford to keep everyone sharp

whats the betting west ham will beat arsenal on sunday and we lose to everton then we are in the s"it ,has og thought about that !!!! ,that performance against bornmouth was a disgrace 😡

Fear not my friends, fear not for The Arsenal will thrash the hide off our East London enemy at least by three goals.
Therefore the mighty Crystal Palace FC will remain in our rightful place which is the glorious Premier League.
i hope your right !! i think arsenal never do us any favours

Think he will rotate 5 or 6 and demand better performances with our first choice finishing the game

After the Bournemouth debacle, I am not convinced that he will gallivant down this path.
In the context of league placement it is vital that we do not lose this game.
If results go in our favour tomorrow and we retain our place in the PL, then I suspect he will rotate with the Conference League final in his thoughts.

Definitely against Arsenal, literally 3 days before the final

I imagine Glasner will want to play his strongest XI but I doubt he will take the risk if the metrics show that one or more players need a rest. He said, himself that both Wharton and Kamada looked all out after Thursday. The last thing he'll want is risking players on Sunday only for them to get injuries that could keep them out of the final in Leipzig.

As I said on the Everton thread I expect both Hughes and Lerma will start on Sunday and possibly Strand-Larsen and Johnson.
