Immigration

At £500,000 per bed space it would quickly cause a major financial black hole.

As the actual aim is to eliminate the need for them what do we do with expensive white elephants in a few years from now? Temporary solutions are the much more sensible approach. The problem exists for all. No one wants to have to accommodate illegals. Spreading the load makes sense.

What about using some of your properties? And your spare bedrooms in Cornwall?

Trump did this, moving the immigrants to democrat areas, because the Dems were flooding republican areas with future votes in mind. The Dems kicked off about it.
Of course they did, because they are total hypocrites.

Demonstrating small mindedness and revenge tactics are seen by intelligent, mature voters as childish. Trump did do it, but he is known to be small minded and revengeful. British politicians seeking to imitate Trump are unlikely to benefit from anyone yet already committed to them.

My properties are all tenanted, one with someone who is an immigrant.

My spare bedrooms are used by family and friends when they visit. Just as in most other homes. We did do AirBnb for a while when it was new, but gave it up when we moved a few years back.

There are more suitable locations. Underused static caravan parks being one.

More suitable locations and there we have it! Just like the “refugees are welcome” protestors, who to Man/woman are unable to accommodate any, due to lack of space

Over the weekend a friend suggested that it would be good if Reform won shed loads of Councils and had the job of clearing up the mess that riots like Epsom cause and answering small business owners face to face on policy and the over spill caused. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Harehills?

He did it because he knew they were flooding the regions to affect who gets voted in.

Oh holiday homes that many people work hard to pay for.

You lot rake the piss.

We aren’t, yet, at the point we were in WW2 when spare bedrooms were allocated to evacuees without the owners having any right to object. Should that happen we will all be hosting new guests. Mr Tom.

Second homes that inflate prices above levels that young local people can afford. People that probably work twice as hard for 1/4 of the wages.

It’s you taking the piss.

I'm just into my second year as a landlord and have had the most stressful experience with tennants the last few months. I don't know how you do it with multiple properties!

Ive ended up getting an estate agent to manage the property with new tenants now. Costs a couple of quid but I can claim it back on the tax at the end of the year.

Haven't genuine refugees suffered enough without a stay at chez-Wisbech?

My point was, all these protesters shouting that all refugees are welcome, when it comes to them offering accommodation they won’t. Where do they expect them to be housed 🤔 anywhere but their backyard.
With a wife daughter and 2 granddaughters can tell you now, I will not be hosting anyone I don’t want to. I will claim HR or even mental health issues, works for others

My 3 properties are all managed by the local authority, although I stay very involved. They find the tenants and provide rent guarantees. Lower charges and much less hassle than high street agents, even if the rents are a little lower.

So would you invite a migrant up into your home?
Don't worry about a lack of space; anyone desperate will make do with a sofa or a lilo or just the floor.
