D-Day May 7th Local Elections

I hear everyone’s views on present government and why they will vote or not for them and therefore voting for other parties. Just remember this is your local borough you are voting for. Have a look / investigate who runs your borough / district now and are they (local councillors / Mayor) presently doing a good job locally for you or not. Don’t let the present government running the country persuade who you vote for. Tough call for me being in south of the borough (Croydon) as to choosing between Conservative or Labour but no way will I go for any other party to run Croydon as in my opinion they will look at the bigger picture and not locally?
Yup.

I vote different locally to a general election.

As you point out, it's on local affairs that I judge the various parties.

And replace them with communists?

It amazes me that you are still living here.
Do us all a favour. Take Saturn and that other hair transplant pillock and go and live in Russia.
Same with you.

Why don't you apply for Hungarian citizenship.

Oh no, wait.

Ok, USA citizenship?

Why do you have to be so insulting all the time? So bellicose.

Anyone intending to vote for the Greenshirts?
Saiqa Ali, Green candidate in Lambeth says that the British government "includes too many Zionist Jews" and that "Trump is owned by Jews".
Rebecca Jones, standing in Lewisham, says "we must burn Zionism to the ground. She is a GP, so if you are Jewish you had probably best avoid her surgery, as you might end up having medical experiments carried out on you.
Sabine Mairey, Lambeth again, says a terror attack on a synagogue "was not anti-Semitism" but "revenge against Israel".
Ifhat Shaheen, standing in Hackney, says that the mass murder, rapes and hostage taking of 7 October 2023 was merely Palestinians "inevitably trying to defend themselves".
Feda Shahim, a candidate in Bournemouth, says that "the Zionists killed 20 million Christians" and that Henderson's aggression was a clear penalty and he should have received a life ban.

Reform making big gains. Impressive for a new party.

Time for Labour and Tory to move aside. They haven't changed and they never will.

The results from what should be the Labour heartlands are simply beyond comprehension. We are genuinely entering into a new phase of politics in the UK.

In fact, it is so bad, I wonder if Starmer might actually emerge from this all still as PM? With the logic being that if the next GE is lost, why would anybody actually want to remove him from being the one taking all the blame? Unless of course the leading candidates for the job fear, and quite rightly, that they will lose their own seats?

Given that this is meant to be between Rayner and Streeting, then my understanding is that Streeting is probably under more threat of that than she is. Interesting few weeks ahead for Labour.

Reform are storming these elections and it shows that your vote will count if you vote Reform at the next GE , More so in the North .

Terrible night for the left , Even the much predicted rise of the rise Green Party failed to materialise .

Liberals only made low gains .

Like Brexit the Country is split down the middle , London and southeast v the rest .

Because Reform is just Brexit rebranded; performative culture-war patriotism and an unrealistic belief that cutting immigration will fix deep structural problems and reverse our economic decline - it's just another political project that will inevitably benefit wealthy backers far more than ordinary voters.
