2 points to stay up

The year west ham won the conference league their league was terrible I believe and they finished around where we fare at the moment.

Even villa are playing like we did today...perhaps even worse.

They have the luxury of being 5 th 6 points clear of 6 .
Don't think Villa are that arsed .Unlike Bournemouth today

I can’t see us getting another point. The Everton game will come after Thursday’s semi final so Glasner will wave the white flag again and we will give that one up. Brentford are a better side than us and will go into tha game as favourites. We ain’t getting anything from Man City or Arsenal. We are going to be relying on other results. Pathetic really but there you are that’s what happens when you have a manager who effectively downs tools mid season and you leave so many possible points on the table
Spot on.
Let's be clear: if the team we fielded today was our strongest, we'd be relegated by Christmas. Was the idea that when the first team appeared in the second half we would suddenly save the game? Bournemouth is a very decent side! Totally unprepared. In any case, this idea of squad rotation has come very late to Glasner. He spent most of the season REFUSING to rotate with the result that the same thirteen players got totally knackered. Then we had the famous match when the bench was full of 'kids' that the manager had no intention of fielding anyway. And all this for a two-bit, third rate European competition that we shouldn't have been playing in anyway. So if we win that and get relegated, how glorious is that?
Too much written here about how bad Spurs and West Ham are. We have taken our eye off the Premiership ball. Don't rely on getting a point from Arsenal at home last game of the season because it won't happen.
If we win the Conference and qualify for the Europa, it's deja-vu next season. That is the only chance of European competition (and what a double -edged sword that is) despite all the hype about 'we're only four points off sixth place' of a few games ago.

West Ham would need to win all three games and, against Arsenal, Newcastle and Leeds, they won't. So we will survive. However, completely unnecessarily close and if the season was 3 games longer I'd be worried.
they would need a point and 2 wins if we was to lose all 4 which is possible never beat brentford away or everton at all , and city and arsenal thump us goal difference

i’m not being entirely negative here b ur it didn’t have to be like this
you get me ?

Their goal difference is about 13 worse than ours so it would take quite a big swing, not impossible obviously but very unlikely. Hopefully Arsenal batter them and put it to bed.

What annoys me though is that we seem to have given up on the league but every position is worth a couple of million. So us finishing 15th-17th doesn't matter to Glasner or the players but the difference between that and 8th-10th is probably an additional signing in prize money.

yep, if we hadn't gone on that 8 game unbeaten run in the league at the end of last season, I doubt if we could have afforded Johnson

West Ham have a shyte Goal Difference. That works to our advantage.

But i now believe that Nottm Forest will finish above us......their Form is very good.

If we lose the four remaining games, we deserve the drop. But its very rare to drop on 43 points.
We managed to go down with 48 in a 42 game season which is a better points per game than Spammers' 42 in a 38 game one. Going down wumirh 43 is quite possible, especially when your name is Crystal Palace.

Isn't it fun to be talking about relegation again! Not a season would pass without a relegation thread popping up and slowing withering away until the next time. Some folk thought we had finally turned the corner and we had established ourselves as a bona fide middle table Premiership outfit. How deluded they were!

My mate yesterday, who is a professional sports bettor, said why am I being so pessimistic. He said bookies haven't taken money on Palace for the drop for months now, and still don't.
We played the main form team away yesterday, who have european ambitions, and we have both eyes on this Thursday. I couldn't give a monkeys about yesterday's result.
Get over the line on Thursday, beat Everton Sunday, all good. It has to be about Europe now doesn't it?

Some have already started next seasons , it wouldn't be Palace without making fans sweat🤣🤣🤣

When Oldham won the last three games similar sentiments were expressed a bit like cornering a rat a team in trouble will find a pair out of the blue and come out fighting no one not even a spurs fan gave them a prayer of winning yesterday!
I'm reasonably calm but in a weeks time i'm having a look to see where the nearest church is.

If we're still in the mix then so are Forest.
4 points behind us and away to Chelsea today with Man U, Bournemouth and Newcastle still to face.

Personally I think we will both survive and I hope this will confirmed for us by the weekend.
Them I'm less fussed about.

Is that what it has come to after 100m+ has been spent, hoping the rubbish below us, stay rubbish, if we don't win the Conference, worst season for a long time, talk about after the lord mayors show.
