But it shows minutes played in each game. He’s had circa 60 in most. Only one game he had 10 mins.

I kind of doubt it, he’s been bang average every match I’ve seen him play. Either substituted on or substituted off. His problem is that he doesn’t influence games like you would expect him to.
 
He's been a bit-part player in the Championship for them, so I can't see them blowing any money they have on him unless Palace wrote off a sizeable chunk of their outlay. Promoted teams often ditch half their first-team, let alone bench players, so I think he'll be back with us.
 
He hasn’t set the place alight in the way Eze, did that’s true, but he is a current England under 21,as Ez, was, with bags of promise, Lampard, has used him sparingly which could be a blessing for Palace. Not the apple of Glasner eye, but another manager might think otherwise. Much to early to write him off whoever is to be his manager.
 
So, considering Coventry have only one game left, does that mean Esse will be returning to us when they finish next week?

Not quite sure how it works? I guess the same applies to some of other Loan players?

Usually come back at the end of our season, or after the end of season holiday period anyway.

With Guessand injured and Johnson continuing his uninspiring performances I'd certainly like to see some more of Esse before the end of the season. However I'm fairly certain Glasner won't be playing him during the rest of his time with the club sadly.

Absolutely zero percent chance of him appearing before the end of the season.

He is on loan until the end of the season so you won't see him in a Palace shirt for a while

I was just replying to someone who was speculating that Coventry have their last game of the season on the weekend - thus their season will have ended. It'd be strange if he's not even training considering we could potentially still have 6 games to play after this weekend.

If I understand it correctly, the loan contract ends on 30th June, same as all contracts. Coventry paid a loan fee & would need to be paid back proportionately if we got Esse back 'early'.

Would be strange though if the Coventry squad all go off on a promotion holiday though and he's just left with other loanees at the Coventry training ground 😂

If they are on holiday, he will be too. He won’t be able to attend Coper’s Cope early.

I would imagine Cov would be training in that period though. Their holiday period will be later than that.
 
However long is left to run on the loan agreement, I'm sure Palace could recall Esse at any time if they wanted to. It would be pretty unusual not to have a recall option. Clubs have them inserted in case of an injury crisis at the parent club etc.

Glasner won't pick Esse even if he comes straight back to training with Palace next Monday morning and leaves an apple on his desk. Johnson, Pino, and Guessand have struggled so badly but the club haven't recalled Esse, so Glasner plainly isn't having him.
