Leicester

Charlton, Leicester and Southampton should be a warning to Palace.

We could very easily be next, all it takes is to make the wrong choice with the next manager. I expect Leicester fans can't believe how quickly and how far they have fallen.

Its more the ownership than the managers that have seen their demise .In Leicesters case that would be King Power .

Pompey did something similar. Back-to-back relegations shortly after winning the FA cup.

and anyway, who cares anymore ? as an Eagle, i would happily take a temporary relegation in exchange for doubling the capacity of Selhurst ( without any huge financial debts )

you could say that about half the teams in the Prem. It's rarely the choice of manager that's the issue, it's the person/people making those appointments i.e. ownership and business leadership.

I'm sure their fans are gutted, but I also reckon they'd take it for the Premier League and FA Cup wins. They achieved something that will forever be etched in history (and silver).

Trophies are nice! - but the first rule of football is - 'Do not get relegated' There but fo SP !

You ask their fans though, you can never take away those great times and memories away of winning the league and cup and getting to the quarter finals of the champions league, I bet they wouldn’t swap all that for a place back in the premier league now

I read that every team , that has won the FA/league cup , outside the top 6 , in the last 20 years has been relegated within 2 seasons.
Leicester, Wigan, Swansea, Birmingham, Pompey.
Think there was another 1 or 2.

the Top 6. You just cannot dislike them enough. Ruining football with all their money and stature. Its why i believe the Championship to be a better League in terms of entertainment, surprises, and goals.

the fact that Everton never got relegated is an anomaly. Only a p1.ssant club, no bigger than Sunderland, Middlesboro or loads of others.

The Prem is lopsided with the top 6 and a load of other cannon-fodder like us. Not a fair league at all. Any league with financial disbalance will suffer this. Scotland, Spain, even France with PSG. But the worst is the English Prem.....same feckers always at the top.
