Could'nt agree more on the final sentence.
Too many managers are now aspiring to be the David Brent of managers with empty meaningless phrases, usually in an attempt to avoid scrutiny over poor performances.
I think of the great managers like Clough, Ferguson, Paisley and Shankly who all conveyed simple messages with clarity.

I think at Palace we've largely avoided the, to use a Roy Keane term, 'bluffers' as managers, although on occasions Pardew gave signs that he could join the club.
One of the many stories about Clough is a him giving a half time team talk to one of his Forest teams who were losing. Apparently it simply went “Gentlemen, we are sh*t. Think of your families watching and be less sh*t”

Alot of noise now around whether Eddie Howe will still be at Newcastle next season.

If Howe were sacked, would he come to Palace ?
I am guessing he would want a bigger club than us, after managing Newcastle.
If he was leaving Tyneside on a high, he would want one of the so-called “big clubs”, as you suggest.

If he gets sacked off the back off this season, which has been underwhelming for him and NUFC, then he might be setting his sights a touch lower. He would still want one of the three European competitions, I’d imagine, so as with many of the names linked, winning the UECL would be a massive advantage to try to convince him.

There was a significant period where he could’ve landed a big job, but he might’ve missed the boat now for the immediately foreseeable future. As harsh as that may be.

I'm not sure about the new manager, but I wouldn't mind Brighton scouting team.
Sold Caceido, Cucerella and Pedro to Chelsea for up to £200 million and still walloped them 3-0.
It’s Bloom’s analytics company they can thank. Since they’ve been involved with Hearts of Midlothian they’ve been transformed too. Real Saint Gillois in Belgium as well.

I believe Coppell told our team "you might have won but you're still s***" after a comprehensive victory over West Brom or someone like that.

He's got Five years and 10 months compensation money coming soon.
People always think it’s like that, and Sky et al don’t help with that impression, but the pay-off is never close to the remainder of the contract. There will be a set release fee included in every manager’s contract.

But to the main point, it is looking more and more likely he won’t be there for a long time. The only thing that maybe says otherwise is that he’s so very much “BlueCo’s Man”, and I think Ted & Johan want it to work out so much that it may make them hold on longer than you’d expect.

He’s struggling though, that’s clear as day. I don’t think it reflects entirely on his managerial skills (look at Lampard now.) and we saw a very different Rosenior with Strasbourg (enough to impress many on here, as well as Parish.)

It's Chelsea: the release clause is probably higher than the remaining wages.

We say no Fat Frank we say no
We say no Southgate we say no
We say no Sean Dyche we say no
Oh Rosenior we say no

Would take Thomas Frank, Iraola, Howe, Schmidt and even Amorin but please, NOT Rosenior..clueless

Before Chelsea a few on here ,myself included ,wouldn't have said no to Rosenior.
Loads of decent managers haven't lasted at Chelsea .
Parish must have an idea by now he's had plenty of time .
