Crstal Palace vs West Ham match thread

Surprised no one has mentioned that the handball given against Mateta for the disallowed goal hit him very high up the arm and certainly looked well above the t shirt line but I’ve given up trying to work out the different interpretations of handball these days.
No looked like it rolled down his arm to me

The game summed us up. Great defence, poor up front.

Brennan Johnson keeps trying but he was mostly abysmal. Strand Larsen wasn’t getting much supply and he looked annoyed to come off. He probably couldn’t believe that Johnson was staying on. Larsen looks limited. We will need better forwards for next season, especially if Mateta goes. Glasner doesn’t seem to care about the best combinations of players. He plays his best forward line or the B team and we get the predictable result. A dismal hour of football before the Calvary comes on.
The positives. No team has ever been relegated with 43 points from 38 games.

Okay, not a great game, but I'm happy with the point. Considering we have so far had to play 14 games in Europe with a limited squad, its unrealistic to expect us to be blowing away the opposition in league games each week.

The fact is we are safe for another season in the PL, and two games away from a potential place in a European Final. I consider that no mean achievement.

Not to mention that injuries struck most of our best players – Wharton, Muñoz, Mateta – for critical periods, and we outright LOST arguably our best, Guehi, in January.
