D-Day May 7th Local Elections

'Polanski's Greens storm onto Farage's Reform turf with Kent victory'

😎
Today Cliftonville, tomorrow the world! I expect any Jews who live there are fleeing to Broadstairs while the druggies celebrate?

I genuinely have no idea who to vote for in the council elections other than not the Greens .
For me it's simple. The Tories have done a good job running Bromley despite the lack of funding from central government so I will vote for them.

I don't know where you live but my suggestion would be if the current party are doing a good job vote for them whoever they are. These are local elections that impact you.

Too often people use them as a national referendum on Starmer.

I may not vote Tory at the next GE but I don't see why I should punish a well run council just because of the national party's incompetence.

Likewise far too many people vote for their party ignoring the gross incompetence at local level and then complain when their council goes bust and "it's not fair sob sob". Councils that go bust need to be punished by the electorate before they get into that state. Most of them that do the problems have been there a long time and the electorate had ample opportunity to vote them out but didn't.

The Greens shared power in Ireland. Apparently you can sort out all Green issues by taxing everyone who works miles more while encouraging illegal immigration. Who'd have thought it? We're still paying for it. Without tax our diesel would be 80c. Our home heating oil 50c. Guess who's taxes put them up. Genuinely watch it. Completely dangerous - should be sectioned. They'd have you living in a mud hut (without a fire or chimney) but believe you me, they outdo even Labour for hypocrisy. They're all theoretical academics with absolutely no grounding in anything resembling the real world. Their own fuel is French red wine, dinner parties, champagne and swinging both ways.
I'll give them their dues of having a Green vision originally. Who the f*** knows why they went all Yassar Arafat, Dick Turpin and Colonel Gaddafi? Populism I guess - funny how that only works one way isn't it?

Their views are anathema to me. 😡
If large swathes truly believe in their policies our country is in a worst state than I have ever imagined.
It was refreshing to see that the Conservative vote increased by 5.1% whereas the Reform vote decreased by 9.3%.
The country is in a worse state than most people imagined. The general decline in the younger sections society is mirrored in the increase in the Green vote.

When Gaza became a fixture of British elections the tipping point was tripped

The Greens will do well in May as Labour supporters switch to them. However I expect those supporters to switch back to labour at the next GE when they will have a new leader.

Only local elections that have no real affect on Parliament, always a bunch of malcontents with an axe to grind vote whilst everyone else cannot be bothered but thank you for the giggle I nearly lost my cornflakes on the keyboard back here on Earth! 😆 😆 😆
