Fiorentina Predictions.

This is from the Uefa site:

In case of repeated cautions:

  1. before the league phase, players and team officials are suspended for the next competition match after three cautions, that did not result in a red card, as well as following any subsequent odd-numbered caution (fifth, seventh, etc.). Exceptionally, after the completion of every two rounds in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League and/or UEFA Europa League and/or UEFA Conference League) in which a player was registered on a club’s list and eligible to play, the number of cautions that player received that did not result in a repeated caution suspension is reduced by one;
  2. as from the first match in the league phase, players and team officials are suspended for the next competition match after three cautions, that did not result in a red card, as well as after any subsequent odd-numbered caution (fifth, seventh, ninth, etc.).

Everything points towards another frustrating night, but who knows, maybe we'll finally get an opponent that doesn't spend 85 minutes camped out on their 18-yard line. I'm going to be positive and say we'll win 2-0 with JP and a first goal for Wharton.

I was agreeing with all what you was saying and hanging on your every word until that last bit 🤣

Setting off soon as I think lots of beer will help with a nervy night. I think it will be super cagey, low scoring but we will scrape home 1-0. Please let me be proved wrong by us winning 2 or 3 nil.

I think it's fair to say we have limped through to this stage of the competition.
I'm not wildly optimistic that tonight will be much different, but it would be a treat if we were able to turn in a commanding performance take a 2 goal advantage to the 2nd leg.

I rather think our opponents will be well versed in the dark arts of simulation and will go down at the slightest of contact.

Fiorentina have in their squad players who have 'Ploughed their furrow' in the PL :
David De Gea, Tariq Lamptey, Manor Solomon, Jack Harrison, Moise Kean.
I do not expect either team to record a comprehensive victory over both the legs.
De Gea was part of Utd’s major problems in his time there, they should have let Deano step up into the roll after his spell at Sheff Utd, where he was outperforming DDG already for a couple of seasons.

He’s not had a great time in Fiorenza either.

Tariq is unlikely to feature I would say, given he has been out injured majority of the season.

Solomon, I am genuinely not sure how good he is right now, he may be amazing but I just don’t know.

Harrison and Kean are two top class talents, and deffo are ones that we need to watch out for tonight.

2-2
Sarr x2
Kean x2

*I’m putting JP up front, based on the info that JSL is suspended. If that info is wrong, JSL starts.
