Reform

Generally to get to the job of Attorney General needs a bit of brains no sensible person would expect a complete moron in that job!

In the past it did.

Much less so now.

It's the ''significance of the passage of time'.....As Harris might put it.

I would call it DEI, because Harris didn't get to where she was as the best candidate.

Whether she did or not the point remains that she lost to Donald Trump. America chose him despite previous experience of his presidency. If that didn't give her, and her party, pause for thought nothing will.

I don't think she was even voted in as the Democrat nominee? And only as a delegate (or like you said DEI) after sleepy joe dropped out.

That would be for a rational party.

The Democrats are far from rational.

Maybe if they lose next time.....but probably not as they think it would only require winning once more.

They will literally lose and lose again, just so they don't give up the chance of flooding America will millions of poor South Americans and taking away parental rights to make it easy as possible to trans autistic kids.

Are you possibly referring to Sir Keir Starmer? He was NOT a sir before taking over this highly troubled department legal cases were crashing the police had no guidelines on wether a prosecution was possible , Sir Keir brought order to a chaotic mess,I have several policemen friends who have a view that he did a very good job, yes we know our venal press as usual made up hostile stories that the very gullible swallowed wholesale. So why did the Tories make him a sir?
More then one super injunction ( allegedly)I have been reliably informed but the public will never know and the gullible will not believe it anyway

Compared to a party that initially accepts Trump as a candidate and then allows itself to be dominated by him to the extent it becomes barely recognisable as the once great bedrock of democracy it was, the Democrats are a perfect example of rationality.

The idea that their purpose is to flood the USA with poor immigrants and remove parental rights is the kind of nonsense that could flow from Trump’s own mouth. You think you are so clever but the truth is you are just another who responds to dog whistle politics.

And yet the perfect example of rationality managed to lose to Trump. Twice.

Have you spent any time in the USA since 2016? I have and I have had conversations with a variety of people about Trump. To say he was polarising is an understatement but there was also a large group prepared to “give him a chance” as the outsider. People tired of traditional politics. Much the same pattern we are seeing here now.

I haven’t been there since his second term began but I follow events closely and listen to a number of informed podcasts. To say disillusionment has set in would now be the understatement.

I am not a flag carrier for the Democrats. I am a flag carrier for competance, decency and responsibility and would be happy to see that from a resurgent Republican Party as from the Democrats.

Tired of traditional politics? Tired of being governed by unqualified chancers with no life experience. How strange.

To save me time he is the Restore Britain immigration policy on their website:

If a legally resident foreign national is unable to speak English, lives in social housing, claims benefits, refuses to work, fails to integrate, commits crime or actively hates our way of life and wishes to do us harm, they will be deported.

This literally says any legally resident foreign national claiming benefits will be deported. That definitely fits the bill of families in my son’s class.

Would you vote for that?

100% YES.

The idea that someone popular enough to be a candidate shouldn't be accepted for one is horseshoe fascism and anti democratic.

Iran do similar when they stop reformists from entering as candidates.

You share their principles.

Also only an idiot wouldn't recognise that massive opposition Trump had from the GOP.....but unlike you they wouldn't go as far as banning someone from challenging.

That's exactly what happened.

If being honest about what actually happened under Biden (Trump stopped illegals breaking border laws very easily) is tantamount to being 'clever' then I'm afraid you need to check yourself into special school grandad because honesty isn't your strong suit.

They come from many backgrounds these days with as much life experience as others and more than most. Our current MP was previously a Solicitor and County Councillor and the one prior to that also sat on the Council but ran a farm, having attended agricultural college. Don’t think they could be described as unqualified! The most important ability being to know the limit of your knowledge, use experts to advise and possess the wisdom to evaluate the advice.

Who suggested that popular people shouldn’t be accepted? There’s a huge difference between being popular and being Trump. Some people are popular for good reasons. Others are so obviously frauds that any respectable party would find a way to avoid them.

It’s nothing like Iran stopping reformists. That’s a ridiculous suggestion.

It just wasn’t and isn’t what happened. That the Democrats possess more compassion than hardline Trump supporters is to their credit, but seeking to stain them by suggesting that they opened the doors purely to gain votes is nonsense.

By default ?
Is this also by the fact that postal voting will be stopped so ending a form of fraud and more people vote for Vance.
Postal voting won’t be stopped.

The level of any actual fraud is so small as to be completely irrelevant. This is an invented problem designed to restrict the voting ability of those who might vote Democrat.

It has already backfired.
