Problem was Trump didn’t strike in January when the protests were at their most powerful and intense , So therefore lost the momentum needed to bring about internal regime change .
Opportunity missed IMO .

The Houthis felt left out so have now joined in to bomb Israel and US allies in the region.
Military guy on TV has said that a US force bigger than Iraq (300,000) would be needed to defeat Iran on the ground as they have one million armed troops.
No way he is going to commit to that.
It is now time for Trump to declare victory, no matter whether it’s true or not, and go home and allow the straits to re open fully.Israel can continue their war if it wants.
Unless someone has a better idea.

A silly over estimation America spends enormous amounts on weaponry and you need the Military Intelligence to know the enemies forces troop concentration and the big american plane bombs them to bits, at a guess the military guy on T.V. is rather jealous that he is retired and missing out on the fun,for years he has pushed a pencil in the Pentagon and done a sight less than sweet f.a.

Iran and its allies have done some significant damage to the gulf countries overnight and probably the West’s economies , Trump is in tight corner , Does he declare victory which nobody will believe , Strike a bad deal to end the war or plough on with ground forces ? …
What a mess , Going to fuel up later and then keep topped up until the situation improves as I don’t believe a word the UK government says about petrol and gas supplies .

Rumour has it, US ground troops preparing for action.

Numbers or Regiments are unknown, as are areas of operation. The fact ground troops are readying has to be of concern.
Let's hope the troops have a plan, because there isn't an obvious one at this point. IF troops are deployed, it's another step further into the quicksand.
