Which conspiracy theories do you believe?

Serious question.

Do some of you genuinely not believe that famous figures have body-doubles who step in for them?

I thought this stuff was well-known. It was confirmed in the Epstein files.

It's even discussed on Rogan with an audience of several hundred million.
Joe even jokes that it's only boomers who aren't aware of this stuff now

Well done. At least one on here saw through the ruse.
Do you have any independent confirmation of this?

Anyone can make a claim like that.

How about Jim Carey himself confirming he uses doubles as a distraction technique. Will that do?

Not an actual clone, obviously.

That doesn't mean that this guy was a double.
He does look a little bloated, but it would seem very odd to send a double to an award night. I have seen fillers and surgery that looked worse.

Still, Jim is a little odd, so I'll keep an open mind.

It would be kind of amusing to send a rather poor lookalike to an awards ceremony for another accolade to then speak in a language you haven't learnt and have all the worthies gush over you.

I could understand the temptation.
How likely it is....I must admit I don't have the interest level to know either way.

Short of DNA samples, a voice analysis would probably clear it up.

Double, clone, prank? Who knows?

But the only original claim made on this thread was that, whoever it was, it wasn't Jim Carey.
A fairly unremarkable claim in hindsight and one that, given the emerging evidence and balance of probabilities, was probably correct.

As 'conspiracies' go, it is at the more mundane end of the spectrum. The only extraordinary thing about it was how many people found it completely inconceivable - that was the real eye-opener.

It's actually hilarious the more you think about it, and totally in keeping with his sense of humour and output (e.g. The Mask).

The real Jim Carey had made a habit of turning up to award ceremonies and being totally cynical, sarcastic and rude. He clearly had contempt for Hollywood.

The double was the complete opposite, gushing with fake charm and praise for the occasion.
It's a genius piss-take sending an actual fake to do the Hollywood 'ick' thing on your behalf.
