I go for 2-0 United, and having to defend and play on the break is this the game where Johnson might have an impact? His meh performances can't go on forever. he is capable, so far we have had about £5.10 returned on our £35mil investment, though he did set up Guessand's goal the other night.

Perhaps this could be the case - at the beginning of the season when we were the ‘form team’

But now……
 
Whatever happens just be prepared to have to watch Fernandes scuttling upto the referee making those begging, praying hand actions just below his incredibly well endowed set of yellowing teeth every single time a Palace player moves.
Have a cold glass of whisky nearby, or a pack of ciggies, or an opium pipe, whatever you need to dampen the rage that slippery turd conjures up in you.
 
If it's an open game, we'll lose, but if we go Bosnian-style, we could do a smash and grab. They struggled to break West Ham down when they sat deep, while we have generally been better* in games where we concede possession and play on the counter. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic and go for 0-0, but I'd love a wildly entertaining 3-4 win to bring some sunshine to this unendingly grey 2026.


*Please note, I am struggling to remember when we were better.

That Mark Cluntenberg has ruined any of my aspirations against Manyoo. He's stained my memory with that whistle blow that denied Wickham the opening goal in the 2016 FA cup final. Just when you're doing well against the big boys, there comes a corrupt referee to snatch any hope from your hands.
I'm sure the ref today will be fine, and I'm sure Palace will do their fans proud.
 
So we all spend days talking about how great Guessand looks after his performance on Thursday and Ollie's response is to drop him for Johnson. Smart.
