It’s fixed in order to ensure that Liverpool, ManU and now City get into the Champions League so the TV companies can sell more packages abroad. In the predictions for this match I predicted that we would struggle having a Manchester referee and so it has proved.

I the past Palace fans have protested en-mass and e-picketed organisations to successfully get changes. I have already written to Howard Webb complaining about the number of Northern referees and lack of Southern representation. I haven’t got his email but you can write to him at Wembley Stadium. But on the flip side, Palace had enough chances early on, not to be impacted by poor reffing/VAR

I also feel on fairly safe ground that we wouldn't have won the FA Cup with the current team, but if it makes you happier I will again say 'probably. '

I'm not complaining- football is cyclical in nature and last year was 'probably ' as good as it gets.
But it remains a sad reality even if you seem to see it as some sort of crime to acknowledge it.

The game showed how much we need to strengthen at CB, but Jaydee will also learn a lot from this run in the side.

Personally I thought Kamada wasn’t completely useless today and contributed to some of the fast passing movements - although if WH had been booked after five mins, claws would’ve been out. Hughes looked great offensively when he came on which is good to see.

Larsen needs service - that’s clear. He won’t create goals by himself like Mateta occasionally did.

It should have been a free-kick and perhaps a yellow at most. Chris Kavanagh misjudged the severity on-field, and VAR failed to correct it properly. There is absolutely no doubt that the PL is full of decisions made in favour of the big teams and whereas var is supposed to stop it, it actually backs them and on occasion, reinforces incorrect decisions.

I left the bar with a couple of my mates before we got in a massive punch up. Apparently Mancs don’t like being called cheating scum bags. Personally I don’t know what their problem is as I’ve always thought of them like that.

We had one from Brighton when we played Man Ure in the 1990 cup final. He also ‘reffed’ a Palace v Millwall game soon after when ‘Uncle Ron’ in his infinite wisdom decided not to segregate the Holmesdale when it was all standing. It was not a great experience, from memory!

Big teams seem to get the decisions, Kamada was booked early on for holding a player, Utd had 2 players do exactly the same within 15 minutes, but didn't get booked. It's the lack of consistency that pisses people off.

I think bias rather than lack of consistency. I tend to give refs the benefit of the doubt but Kavanagh gave them free kicks for every challenge but we had players flattened and he waved play on. McGuire assaulted Guessand and nothing was given. The man shouldn’t be allowed to referee under 18s never mind a PL game involving a team from his home town!

My response was more from a point that I believed the team done well today and considering where we have been for the past few months, I perceived your post as a negative to their efforts.
It is not a crime to acknowledge that we had a better team than this current one, but at the same time I could say that the team of the 90s would have “probably” won today.
It’s all irrelevant what we had in the past, we all just need to get behind what we now have.

The Chairmen of the smaller Prem clubs should demand an inquiry into cheating and corruption in the game.

We all remember Ferguson being caught on tv handing over a virtual bung to Clattenburg before the 2016 Cup Final. Juventus got done for bribing refs and I’m quite certain it happens here.

Part of any inquiry should demand that refs and FA officials allow access to their bank accounts to allow them to be checked. The TV companies should also be checked to ensure that they are not putting pressure on refs to favour the clubs with the biggest followings.

But, just think, if we’d have won the league when Sun Jihai was playing for us half of China would be supporting Palace now! President Xi even mentioned us when Starmer visited recently. If he put pressure on the FA, I can’t see them arguing with him. lol!

Not trying to be deliberately argumentative, but a genuine question.
When Max was sent off, should we have changed to a back 4. The reason being, we become very inexperienced and weak with Riad and Canvot in the same team.
The second goal came from a poor clearance from Canvot and then a missed header by him. I do not dig out specific players and do not blame him for the loss.
For me we were always going to be under the cosh with 10 men and likely to be doing a lot of defending and not pushing up the field with the wing backs. We then have an extra player in midfield to help protect the defence and try to see out a 1-1 draw.
Just a thought!

The football has less sideways passing, the referees allow tackles and let the game flow and most importantly there is no VAR to decide who wins and who loses. The Premier League my a*se! It’s a foul and penalty, Cunha would have got to the ball as Henderson was pretty much on his line and the pass was nicely weighted through.

It’s piss poor defending by Lacroix, he is far too tight to Cunha and gets rolled and pulls him back.

I think it was a foul and a red card but i do think it was outside the box.

Conceivably we could of won the FA Cup last year with this team, the feasibility of the result is impossible to determine.
