Glasner Out

It's a right old mess. But Glasner won't be going until a suitable replacement is ready to take over.

Unless:
Glasner walks
Glasner is apprehended

I am glad you are happy.
"Happy" is a stretch. In the first third of the season I was "happy". Until some point in December I was "Content". Now I am somewhere below content, but I am not "distraught" as many here are.

As I stated, I want more, expected more, I'm just not as panicked as a lot of people have been. I can't see any change to the bottom three other than possibly Forest swapping with Wet Spam, honestly.

Five teams have to find the secret for us to be in danger. West Ham are not going to deliver 9 more points than us, it's just not achievable for them, that alone means we are safe even if four of the five below us find the secret somewhere to pull a run off, which realistically won't happen either.

"Glass half full" may be more accurate than "happy".

I found it very revealing that when asked "do you want to be at Crysatl Palace until the end of the season" he repleid "let's see". Maybe i am wrong but that sounds like "no, not really" or "I don't care". Whilst I absolutely don't have any patience with professional footballers who supposedly give up playing for the trainer, I have to hope that is indeed what is happening because if it's not, then they are truly not good enough for the PL. On paper, I would say that they are, well most of them*, which only leads to the conclusion that the longer OG stays in place, our troubles will only deepen. None of us know whyt is going on in the board room, which is a big reason there is so much anger but the silence is deafening. What I wouldn't give to be fly on the wall. It's as if there is a plan in place for an end of season replacement, and that is why OG is still in place. However, even if that were actually true, the need for an injection of spirit, coordination, motivation is now urgent.
PS * Our defensive set up on Sunday will most probably NOT be PL standard so we might not have to try too hard to present Wolves with a couple of gifts.

i wish i shared your optimism. Based on current form i can't see West Ham going down - they also still have to play Palace so if they win that the 9 point lead is misleading, and 6 is very 'catchable'.

Of the other teams below us three are 3 points or less worse off than us, so 1 win and they are above us.

That leaves Forest. If they get a new manager bounce then i can see them putting a run together.

For me the Wolves game this Sunday is massive. 3 points is critical. If we can't win that i'm struggling to see where our points will come from.

This to me is the crux of it all and it started by stating he was leaving closely followed by throwing his toys out the pram. Things have just got worse from there.

Not sure if it’s a cultural difference but he has basically engineered his own downfall and it will probably have as bad an effect on his own career as it will Palace’s immediate future. Very unprofessional in my opinion but I’ve never been in that business so unsure whether or not they are all that selfish.
I stand by what I said after he announced he was leaving

This man has robbed us of enjoying this season.

Yes we Sold Eze, Yes we sold Guehi.

Eze had a release clause and wanted to move, the clause was met so he moved.

We didn't sell Guehi & I think if OG had committed then we wouldn't have sold Guehi (my opinion not fact) We didn't sell him the summer before because OG didn't want him to leave at the same time as Anderson.

He also mentioned Olise & Anderson leaving as well. Same situation with Olise as with Eze, had a release clause and wanted to move to Bayern, don't think anyone can blame him for that.

Anderson went because he wanted Lacroix, we got good money, made a profit & got in my opinion a better defender for a cheaper fee. OG Never moaned about him leaving at the time but now brings it up.

By making his silly announcements in anger over Guehi leaving he ruined the transfer window & potentially lost us deals we were trying to get over the line.

Looking at him moaning at Munoz yesterday it showed that he is now not protecting his players as he did before xmas. What was we going to do, Richards carry out another long throw which doesn't beat the first man.

Comments about having no leaders recently further show this. hanging half the squad out to dry by saying they wasn't anything on the bench that could of changed the game against sunderland? How do you know if you don't try.

For me over the last month he has wiped out any legacy he should of had here and each press conference gets worse and worse with what he says.

Get him gone

If the writing really is on the wall, as the media now seem to believe, there are not too many options available right now for the long term.

So then we have to think short term. If we do that, we may as well look inwards.

As others have said, Paddy Mac is the most obvious candidate, he knows the club inside out, the players are familiar with him and would run through brick walls for him. Maybe he could be our Roberto Di Matteo.

Ehhhh they had been getting worse and worse, right up until the 24th Jan. Chelsea game and onwards we have seen an improvement in play and seem to be getting better again, albeit only partially reflected in the results so far.

You can see in the collective performances that the trajectory has changed to a forward one again.
Sorry I cannot see that the performances against Burnley and Mostar are any sort of improvement and the tight win against Brighton was against the worst Brighton team I’ve seen in many a year.

We look absolutely clueless once we enter the opposition half with half arsed attempts at closing down and no width despite playing with wingbacks and two 10s. We were so easy to defend against last night.

We need new ideas and a fresh tactical approach neither of which Glasner appears capable of.

Oh, you are still around, are You, CPFCSaturn, est1905 and Linford, going to hold a wake if he gets the bullet.

You are a weird little man...

Of course I'm here. I'm a Palace FAN.
I will SUPPORT the team and manager, whoever that may be. For every day Glasner is manager, I will support him.

But he needs to go. Never in my 35+ years as a Palace fan have I seen a manager practically beg to be sacked. Just walk. No tears from me at all if he is sacked.

Robbie Keane's ( Ferencvaros Manager ) name is in the frame now.
Paddy and Robbie are both from Dublin! Not much good ever came out of Dublin only the road out of it . Parish prob said they can share the same caravan . And they will be able to understand eachother . 🤣
